Windies,again showing ...players haven't the patience or discipline,to hold their bat,and play the game as it developes ....sit in for 5-10 overs score slowly,when

enough overs are left...

No..no..no!! Poor Carlos Braithwaite & windies!!!

 

England run chase failed,AFG run chase failed. ....W.Indies run chase failed....chases all teams should of Won..!!!

All guilty of wrong shot selection from high order players,also outside Braithwaite,lower order not playing to the moment....I

Even the teams that won,were also lucky!!! Their batsman got out of jail..!!

Probably the best game I've ever watched live. Great atmosphere which in the end, I think, got to Brathwaite. I think most would have been tempted to end it that way though if they'd been hitting it like he had and had a complete bunny at the other end.

 

Nerves of steel from Boult too. Thought for all the world he was going over the rope. Hope the Kiwis win it if we don't.

 

Was chatting to some Windies fans on the tram back to Piccadilly, asking why the likes of Campbell, Narine and Bishoo weren't considered. They were baffled. Not saying any of those would be the solution, but they've been one consistent performer away from having a side which would have genuinely challenged for this World Cup.

 

Imagine the week we'd be looking forward to now if those two results had gone the other way yesterday...

Maybe the occasion got to him but at the end of the day it's what was working for him, it was pretty much there to be hit and there wasn't much in it. 

 

Obviously a Williamson, a Kohli or a Smith is going to hope to make light work of six in a final over, but Braithwaite doesn't have their talent for finding the gaps with precision. He's after something to club and he saw a chance. 

 

They wouldn't have gotten that close without his knock.

Just caught up on how WI/NZ ended. Gutted for Braithwaite. That kind of innings deserved a happier ending. 

 

Tournament slowly coming back to life after a dull period following rain-affected games? Last 3 games have been great for the neutral. Really is a shame it's not been free to air so that more people can be properly exposed to how good this tournament can be. 

 

Pakistan off to an absolute flyer this morning...

Oh yeah, it really was some comeback to behold. Good management of the tailenders after Roach went and proper hitting. The six over backward point was unreal.
