Could do with SA winning tomorrow to keep fourth place wide open. I fancy them to do it as well. Not by much but will be closer than most think. NZ have had it relatively easy so far; they have big tests coming up. Still have to play England & Australia after tomorrow's game too.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 18 June 2019 Posted 18 June 2019 Morgan's performance was great, and I'm so glad I remembered to watch it, but spare a thought for Mali Women, who batted a spirited 9 overs today against Rwanda before ending up all out for 6 (5 of which were extras), Rwanda then took 4 balls to score 8 and win the match. http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/19349/scorecard/1188785/rwanda-women-vs-mali-women-2nd-match-kwibuka-womens-twenty20-tournament-2019
String fellow Posted 18 June 2019 Posted 18 June 2019 Has anyone ever scored a century of sixes before?

The People's Hero Posted 18 June 2019 Posted 18 June 2019 CWC19 has really been wrecked by rain. I think we are probably getting the right 4 heading through as it stands now, but its a case of what might have been for a few others. Disappointed with West Indies (some outrageous bowling excepted and Pooran who I think will end up being genuinely world class) and SA so far.

fuchsntf Posted 19 June 2019 Posted 19 June 2019 Never never understand!!! Match now only 49.overs in an English Summer!! Even with cut off points.. Postponed games.. Have a later postponement point.. One can play 20overs,after 19:00hrs.Use the satellite readings for definite no play time-zones..for immediate-2hr/3hrs/4hrs/6hrs/19:00hrs. Teams and fans, then can have standown reference points....cricket has to find for all international Tests,or tournaments a way,to "try" and get some game-time in...

Just a shame they couldn't have found a competent guitarist to do it. It sounds even worse when you're in the crowd.
AKCJ Posted 19 June 2019 Posted 19 June 2019 Shame that Hashim Amla is so out of nick at the moment. One of my favourite non-England batsmen.

The Irishman, Kiwi and Barbadian coming along nicely too. Gotta love the England cricket team. The last remaining sport where being born "somewhere in the Empire" basically gets you in the team.

Bobby Hundreds Posted 19 June 2019 Posted 19 June 2019 You can't say we haven't tried to tap up Wales. Robert Croft and Simon Jones were cracking players mind.
StanSP Posted 19 June 2019 Author Posted 19 June 2019 This is awfully slow from South Africa. What's happened to them ?

Guest MattP Posted 19 June 2019 Posted 19 June 2019 2 hours ago, ealingfox said: The Saffers are dog muck Hardly surprising though - the quota system was always going to kill off them at a serious competitive level. Players like Rossouw, Olivera, Morkel, Wiese etc would be walking into this team but I'd rather sign a Kolpak contract than wait to see if I'll be dropped because of my skin colour. They'll destroy the best black players like Rabada as well as the bodies won't tolerate the workload they'll have as fast bowlers. The quota system is even more mental in a sport like cricket where the conditions effect who you pick, imagine us going to a bouncy pitch in Perth and having to drop Broad for Rashid
StanSP Posted 19 June 2019 Author Posted 19 June 2019 They're not doing too bad in defending the low total. NZ 85/4 with 29 overs left.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 19 June 2019 Posted 19 June 2019 Steady reply at the moment but a couple of wickets changes everything

Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 19 June 2019 Posted 19 June 2019 Even game now although De Grandhomme can smash it on his county ground, low scoring games can be really interesting.
