Ricey Posted 19 October 2019 Posted 19 October 2019 Apologies for the topic, but has anyone got a programme from today that they don’t want? It was my daughters first match and we had put a message in the programme for her, but they had all sold out 40 minutes before the match when we arrived. I’m happy to cover postage etc. 🤞

He moved heaven and earth to get a sentimental programme to me, so much so, we almost caused a bomb alert at Old Trafford 😄

The whole world smiles Posted 19 October 2019 Posted 19 October 2019 I'm sure the club shop will sell old ones?
rachhere Posted 19 October 2019 Posted 19 October 2019 I have one that I bought to pass onto a friends Dad who hasn’t been able to get to a match in a while. He will be more than happy for a programme from a different match though I am sure, so happy to let you have that one

Osavo Posted 19 October 2019 Posted 19 October 2019 Just now, Langley said: they never sell out. it's there next to the tills for ages. I think the point of the thread is that the programmes did indeed sell out.
Foxhateram Posted 19 October 2019 Posted 19 October 2019 The programmes sold out today. I didn't manage to get one either. If anyone has a spare I'd also like to buy one.
Ricey Posted 19 October 2019 Author Posted 19 October 2019 I’m sorted now thanks to the very kind @rachhere They definitely sold out. Even in the club shop they had sold them all.
Fox92 Posted 20 October 2019 Posted 20 October 2019 Was really strange because when I got to the ground at my usual time which is about 14:20pm there were no stalls out side like usual. I don't go in the shop and never thought about it tbh so if anybody has got one spare or is selling then I will too pay? Cheers.
Spudulike Posted 20 October 2019 Posted 20 October 2019 There were a lot more City fans than usual due to the lack of away fans. Probably many non-regulars that wanted a keep sake.

Yeah I got to the ground at 13:50 after the walk and no programme sellers was about then either
dayday Posted 20 October 2019 Posted 20 October 2019 I go in the Symphony Hall pre match, and the normal program seller who goes in there, never came in.
fazzyfox Posted 20 October 2019 Posted 20 October 2019 I had problems towards the end of last season, sellers packed up earlier than before, I queued in shop after game to find they had none at till (but had to queue to find that out as you can't see them until it's your turn at the till). Then tried ebay where there were many including bulk sellers, first ten days or so asking for silly money but after that a reasonable price. Never see the sellers at the front of the stands / pitch side either now. I presume with so much on-line / social media access to similar content sales are down and they're cutting their margins by avoiding wastage (unsold copies). I used to buy it at WHS at the station, it would be good to have a couple of places a little further away from the ground that sell it.
