Wolfox Posted 19 November 2019 Posted 19 November 2019 I created an app…. Well designed it and got some 19 year old to build it on IOS put in room dimensions…. Use your camera to measure lux level…. Determine the number of visual alarm devices required to give 0.4 lux above ambient light level…. It’s used quite a bit in the fire industry! Riveting stuff… Have come up with a few patents/ inventions and am working on one which is pretty big…. Launching next year in the UK and States…. My company make all the money though 😔… But, hopefully I will get a nice pat on the back 😃 Also potentially saves literally tons upon tons of plastic and electronic waste each year, so, doing my bit for the environment!

That’s my idea for an app i am trying to find a name for a new smoke detector and have no clues… you put in the product/ proposition and some other key details and it automatically generates brand names…. I hate coming up with brand names as every ****er has an opinion! can someone please create this! EDIT - just found namelix…. Amazing!

Its an app that takes ingredients entered, that you have available and it tells you what you’re able to cook. Would be good for those days where you’re a day away from a food shop. Probably already exists in fairness.

That's a great idea, I've done similar Google searches but it never quite produces what I'm looking for, ie it will suggest a dish but one that still requires loads of ingredients that I don't have

Also how you clear up those odd bits at the bottom of the freezer it could be an altruistic development as it doesn’t have a commercial ellement

Collymore Posted 25 November 2019 Posted 25 November 2019 Back in 2003 for my uni project, before smartphones were common, apps existed and before GPS really integrated into phones I created an app type WAP website that tracked running. Nothing really existed at the time. I try not to kick myself as wouldn't have had a clue how to get it to market (no app store) and would have just been swamped by the big boys as soon as it would have become popular as a website.
urban.spaceman Posted 25 November 2019 Posted 25 November 2019 Not an app, but if I ran a website like who-called.co.uk for nuisance callers etc, I'd definitely set up an anonymous phone line and spam the shit out of people just to drum up business for the website. Not that they don't already do that. I am a genius.
