To be fair, outside a ridiculous anomaly of a season, that FA cup win was the pinnacle of our club's history and Iheanacho was front and centre of the run to the final. It's unlikely that either of us will have similar success any time soon. It's likely that a decade on from now we wont have come close to another trophy, hopefully the guy that carried us to the FA cup final will be remembered more fondly then.

I think being Nigerian and a bit autistic didn't help him. If he had a Spanish name (e.g. from randomspanishname.com I came up with 'Ayoze Perez') some people would be saying he was technically excellent and criminally underused.

One decent season, behind closed doors, aside from that he never fulfilled or even looked like fulfilling his potential. Got to admit I was really excited when we signed him and I thought he would be a good signing for us. But over time here he proved to be one of the more frustrating players I've seen for us. 

 

At least we can now ditch all this "senior man" stuff.
