2-2 is probably a fair result in the end, just a shame to throw away a 2-0 lead

Still in 4th for now

Especially given the two one-on-one opportunities to finish it off.

That said, all in all a fair result. I think the fatigue, combined with injuries and suspensions, is starting to take its toll.

...two points given away....REM a good team, should not be where they are in the league...feels like a loss!!!

I totally agree!

We didn't play our best game of the season and we missed some of our best players  (Henry, Maertens and Malinov), but when you're up 0-2 you have to control the game and take home the 3 points.

Mercier with another assist and should really have had two more, if it wasn't for some poor finishing from Sowah and Vlietinck. Some delicious passes there!

Al-Tamari looks useful too.

Obviously disappointing to lose two points there, but onwards and upwards :scarf:

I don't like their kit red and white kit. Feels like they should be playing Rugby. I don't like the whole team to be honest. I can't decide if their goalie is great or our strikers wasteful.

good goalkeeping for the two 1v1's.. their (REM) goalie was quick to come out and close down the space making it hard for the strikers.

The OHL goalie made a mistake for REM's second.. was bad positioning and found himself in no mans land.. he could neither close their striker down or hold his goal line.

We lost this game in the 1st half.

Hopefully we do better next week in the last game before the winter break.

In the second half as well tbh, if they finish their chances a little better of are a little more clinical in the counter play, this would have been 2-6 or 2-7.

Romo was solid but makes a mistake leading to 0-2. De Norre was solid, Mercier as well. Vlietinck average, just like Henry. All the rest can take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror tonight, especially Sowah.

You're right, but I don't think we would've been down 2-0 at half time  if we would've played with the same mentality and sense of urgency as we did in the 2nd half.

Seems to me like our players really need some rest, so let's hope we can end 2020 on a positive note and win against Oostende and then give the players a couple of days off

Possibly. Let's just say that this was bound to happen sooner or later. You could feel form was slipping a bit, fatigue was starting to set in and that we relied on a few game changing events going in our favour the past few weeks (Van der Bruggen missing his free header in the game against KVK, for example). Today could, despite the performance, just as easily have turned the other way if Henry had finished at least one of his chances and if Vranckx had gotten either a straight red or his second yellow when he blocked that quickly taken free kick at the end of the first half.
