You read it here first, my cousin's, neighbours, brothers baby sitter was stacking the shelves of the American foods aisle in Morissons and found this lad looking for some ridiculously named cereal.....welcome Zach.

"City sign USA Under-17s midfielder

American youth international Zach Booth has signed a deal with Leicester City, he has announced.

The USA Under-17s midfielder arrives at the club after spending time in the Real Salt Lake academy.

Booth, whose older brother Taylor plays for Bayern Munich, has been training with City for some time, and announced on Friday that he had signed a contract with the club.

“Happy to announce I've signed with LCFC,” he said. “Excited to take this next step. Thanks to all the support from friends and fam. Can’t wait for the season to start.”

Having caught the eye while playing for the US at a youth tournament in England, Booth was invited to train with City, first through online sessions because of the coronavirus pandemic, and then at Belvoir Drive."

Any ideas who this lad is? I don't recognise him from our academy.

Not sure, could easily be a signing for the U23s/U18s that has yet to be announced. The club haven't announced Suengchitthawon themselves yet either, we will probably see them say more about the U23s this week given they've got Hull on Tuesday then Man United in PL2 at the weekend.

Looks a tall lad but doesn't look like O'Connor or any of the CB scholars coming through this year for example.

Yeah it seems to be a new signing that's been training with the first team. Plenty of other U23's not been involved with the first team this summer but instead playing friendlies for the U23's such as Pennant, Hughes, Regina, Wright etc. Been a few I'm surprised Rodgers hasn't had a look at and instead picked others that don't seem as high up the conveyor belt.

The two you have ringed are twin brothers. Can't remember their name, might be Futcher. Their elder brother is a first team coach, pictured behind Wilf in the bottom photo.

Hope this helps.

Have they only recently joined? Not seen either amongst the U18's last season and they certainly weren't part of the U23's. Or are they from the U16's which would be impressive given their height!

:fishing: Sorry, you probably have to be of a certain vintage to remember the Futcher twins.

The guy behind Wilf is Matt Reeves who is not a coach but a sports scientist . Younger twins as brothers, dunno ?. I am trying to find out who the player is ? Could be a trialist , dunno ?

https://www.lcfc.com/news/1808417/beaglehole-expecting-to-face-a-strong-hull-side

Beaglehole says his U23 squad are going to be a much younger group than last season - if true that's a positive step and hopefully one led by Rodgers.

I can see how that can be true given Knight, Johnson, Hughes, KDH, Ndukwu, Eppiah and Muskwe are now 'over-21' for the PL squad and therefore unlikely to be kept around; you've then got Thomas, Hirst, Leshabela and Clark who are all surely at the front of the queue for loan moves. All of that bunch except Hughes, Clark and Ndukwu have been part of the senior pre-season group which Rodgers said are most likely going to get loans.

If most of those go as expected, you're left with a core XI of Stolarczyk/Bosworth; Daley-Campbell, O'Connor, ?, ?; Hulme, Wright, Tavares; Reghba, Shade, Pennant. They'll also have McAteer, Flynn, Leathers and Arlott-John likely stepping up from the U18s, and maybe more given they've released lots of the older guys of late.

Intrigued to see who's involved tomorrow.

That's certainly good news.

Any idea if there will be a stream for the game tomorrow?

Could be Reghba like @rachhere says.

Does anyone know the latest progress of Layton Ndukwu (player in the middle)? He was one serious talent a few years ago but seems to have stagnated/gone backwards. Is there any chance he will still make it with us?

Was shite at Southend so they sent him back, think their fans managed to bully him off Twitter after he said 'thank god' after this happened.

He's 22 now and out of contract next summer, don't think he has the work ethic to make it.

I suspected that might be the reason. :(
