Benkenstein sacked as Lancashire coach after their inning defeat to us!

Complete mess of a club at the moment. Deciding it's the captain's fault one week, then the coach's the next.

Think elements of their board are too focused on the Hundred stuff...

Their recruitment is a mess. They have players like Salt, Butler, Wood, Livingstone who are never available because of white ball or England commitments and then they let go others too soon who end up having a perfectly good career, like Luis Reece. To think we stuck with Whitticase all those years as coach when we were never winning any games and they get rid of captain and coach only a few weeks into the season.

Oh look, there is a women's and men's T20 double header at Edgbaston.

Almost as though they could have done that 20 years ago, made it accessible to more, allowed male and female supporters to connect with the teams and gradually grow the interest without resorting to made up teams advertising crisps.

Just bought my Ashes tickets ... 3rd day, 3rd Test, Adelaide Oval (19 Dec).  Hopefully it will be a competitive series.

What are ticket prices like over there?

I think keeping our bowler's fit is key. The signs currently aren't great.

We can't play 3 or 4 seamers, all bowling low to mid 80mph & expect to compete. Wood, Archer & Stone offer something different, but aren't fit for long enough.

let's hope they stay fit ... looking for an Aussie win but hoping for a close series ... like 2005 (with the right result) but definitely not 2006/07

$315 Australia dollars for 2 adults and 2 kids

That's decent!

Works out about just under £40 per ticket. Have a great time!

Was watching highlights of the 2000 series the other day and it is almost forgotten how huge that series was for English cricket. Beat the West Indies for the first time in 30 years, the likes of Trescothick and Vaughan coming in, first big series for Nasser Hussain as captain.

Ambrose and Walsh were still top class, too.

I got some for Melbourne days 2 and 3, and Sydney day 4 - not the ideal seating I wanted but the ticketing is a bit of a mess. Hoping for some day 1 on general release.

yeah it was crazy ... 5 mins to select and pay for your tickets was a joke. I got kicked out first time which cost me tickets on days 1 and 2 as when i got back in there was only single tickets left.

Glad you got some though ... boxing day test at the G test is always a iconic event. Be close to 100,000 there on day 2.

Boxing Day test, days 1 & 2 sorted for me. Cannot wait! Hoping we're still in it by then...

Bethell back in contention for the first test v India .

Atkinson obviously not going to be fit enough hence unselected .

Archer could be available for the 2nd Test. Need him to have an injury free run now.

Desperately need him & Wood (probably Stone too), for The Ashes.

Archer & Wood won't manage all 5 Tests in Oz, so pace options needed.
