I’m going day 1 Edgbaston. Think ticket was £120. Add your booze, food and travel it’s easily double that. Always a great day but it is starting to get a bit silly. Paid £60 at Trent Bridge 7 years ago for a day at a test.

Needs calling out. Remember a test last year,  at Lords i think it was,  where even Nassir and a few at sky made comments about it on comms.

People keep paying it though, so will never stop 👎

Sickening waiting so long for some proper Test cricket and the game has gone before lunch on Day 2. I'm happy to stick my neck out and say this Bazball shit should be brought to an end - it brings below-par cricketers into the team because of 'vibes' and fosters bad decision-making and bad attitudes.

Winning the toss and fielding was absolutely criminal.

I was very surprised England didn't bat first on a day like yesterday.

Game wasn't won before it even started (potentially).

It's like seeing Danny Ward in the starting line up. You decrease your chances of a positive result before a ball is kicked...

I believe this point of view has cropped up here before, and I think the rebuttal remains the same.

If the style of playing change gets this team to push on and do better than they're doing now, fair enough. But those pining for older styles might be reminded that this Test team won one Test in 17 before this style of play was implemented.

Very odd to tell Pant to slow down.

Then you have Thakur coming in and swinging away and wafting at everything. Might as well let Pant do it cos he does it better anyway.

Rain expected for some of today and tomorrow.

Wonder if it's worth us declaring, putting England into bat in what could become a disrupted innings, perhaps nick a wicket or two in the cloudier conditions and put more pressure onto England going into Monday?

Or does that sound too wild?!

I reckon Stokes would.

Hard to celebrate these wickets when you can sense the inevitable happening in an hours time

Well, they brought that innings to a close as quickly as could be expected.

Opened up some more possibilities from here.

Good recovery but a tough test for us now against Bumrah.

Starting to rain now !

Makes a change for us to mop up the tail but I don't think India will mind too much.

Odds on Crawley 4 and out? lol
