Well the coach isn’t going to be in the country till the end of May apparently so obviously isn’t that serious or relying LJ others .

The infuriating thing is that everyone warned against the lack of prep for the Ashes.

 

They couldn’t go there and win based on hype only.

 

They ignored everyone, got hammered and inevitably apologised. It was all so ****ing predictable and a complete wasted tour.

Aggers made it clear in July that he was concerned about the itinerary etc.

He is a respected ex-player & commentator. It's incredible that his views & others were ignored. The arrogance seeps down from the very top.

Unpopular opinion but I like the season ending earlier and finishing late. Just wish there was more than 14 games of Championship cricket in between!

Foakes is done with England isn't he, he was already let alone after daring criticise them.

 

Gay got a ton as well, and I was massively surprised to see Crawley didn't get a score

Really? He's awful. All the gear but no idea.

 

He's terrible against a fresh cherry early doors.

He can't move his feet and tries to drive from the first ball.

 

Hope he out of test side for a while.

See his interview with The Cricketer the other week? McCullum gave him a full 10 seconds of his time on the phone!

Ridiculous isn't it, I like McCullum but the whole set up stinks at the minute. Really dislike Key though

Really good to see as I think they'll keep faith with him. Think he got into his own head about what "batting with the tail" is meant to mean.

Yep Smith was rubbish opening in white ball cricket and is weak against the moving ball, would be silly to make him open.

I actually think they may bin Crawley, if they don't it shows they haven't changed or learnt anything

Crawley probably needs one good score to keep him there. If he doesn't they'll be left with no choice. 

 

Apart from returning to hameed and sibley, there isn't to many genuine openers.

Tom Haines, pretty sure Gay has opened the batting before, but I think they'll try Tribe.
