Look at the world records smashed on the track, nothing to see here of course.

True - but you have to hope the Norwegian  chap in particular is clean as he is one of the faces of Athletics post Bolt.

Super Horns you can try and hope, I will remain a cynical bastard though and currently the talented Norwegian is clean I hope they all are, but I have so much cynical doubts about the sport.

 

I know in my heart a man made a knight over here is a doper a huge one. His coach has been banned for doping yet nobody sees any link. But without proof he will remain clean in the eyes of everyone forever but never me.

 

Another of the excoaches athletes won gold at this Olympics........

Is there really any need for Rishi Persad to be asking Lauren Price about her dead grandad, who had raised her from the age of 3? She's not a media trained professional, she an amateur boxer thrown into the limelight by this achievement. Its clearly still raw and she can barely hold back to tears. 

 

I was listening to an interview with Tom Daley yesterday and he mentioned his dad and was welling up, but he was the one who brought him so its fine. I felt Persad was looking for a soundbite, or a reaction, and it's not on. Totally unfair way to conduct an interview.

Got to say an amazing 2 weeks of sport

A great performance by so many of the British athletes

On a par or better than London & Rio & we beat the Aussies again🥇

Brilliant to see such a spread of medals across the sports

My understanding is that funding is reasonably reduced as it will be for Paris to follow from London & Rio

And most of us were integral, we buy national lottery tickets, they couldn’t have done it without that, well done all👏

Think what annoys me most is when they are part of a team like this. He knew if he got caught he was letting the other 3 down. He should have pulled out of the relay stating he wanted to concentrate on the solo event. Mess your own Olympics up, not others.

What did I say about doping .

 

The first of many to be caught over the next ten years, from the uk as well. We shall see how our clean our team actually is, I know my own thoughts.

Canada will gladly move up for not cheating (providing we dont test positive lol).

 

It's always unfortunate in team competitions but the reality is if an athlete is guilty then the team had an unfair advantage  and may not have won had someone else been in their place etc.

 

It sucks also for teams like Canada who might have finished 2nd instead of 3rd and then china team who never got the exposure at the time and thus not enjoy the moment. Granted canada did but i feel more for teams like china and the 3 other brits who will feel gutted.

 

Its almost as if team player must isolate for weeks with their teams and tested before competition day and removed if issues found. A big task no doubt.
