Seems the ticket office have reached the point of no answers so are now ignoring emails.

No change on the website so I don't see this being changed to all members.

This is absolutely disgraceful to be honest. What an unfairly arbitrary cut-off point.

I hope they see sense.

They haven't done for years, can't see it happening by today but im open to shocks!

I just can't think of any reason why they would rather have a near empty away end rather than let more fans go.

Im sure you know the answer. The club doesn't fancy the demographic of punters buying these tickets.

It is an absolute disgrace. I'd go as far to say that it is a breach of contract of the membership deal; deliberately withholding tickets when the member has paid a fee for access to tickets

Even if it was just one extra fan that could go, they should open it in up. It was never made clear that 5 away points is significant to a member. Just a random number invented to stop people going and ****ing up plans.

Yup, its a clear breach of purchase.

I understand their concerns,  but that's for the police to worry about, the club can't tar all general sale with the same brush, certainly not members!

I'm sure many are in the same situation as myself where we have plenty of home points but just not away points.

So far this season I've had:

1) Successful on the Norwich City ballot but never got access to tickets until emailing them proof I was Successful.

2) Entered Brentford ballot but results were never released and seemingly they never actually rewarded the results.

3) No access to an away fixture, with hundreds of spare seats, in clear breach or membership.

And the seasons only just begun.

Incompetence at its highest order.

You can't defend this. It's a fcuking joke.

It will be forgotten though when the club give out a cheap free scarf or some warm beer.

I know it won't seem fair but part of me thinks the club has probably put this requirement in place to stop fans going who don't normally attend matches. These kinds of matches in Europe especially against "scary" opponents can attract a bad crowd of people just going to cause trouble. I would put money on the club having implemented these seemingly arbitrary rules on trying to prevent the trouble makers getting tickets. I'm not saying it's right or wrong but this will be why they've done it.

I suggest everyone who wants a ticket but won't get one becuase of this made up sales fence get's in contact with the club asap.

Personally I would want to go above the ticket office here

They are alienating their own genuine fans because of a made-up scenario.

The club is in the dark ages.

As I say I'm not defending them I'm just saying I bet that is why it's being done. Also why no European game will ever go to general sale (which I think sensible) However personally I think those with memberships should be allowed tickets. Even membership +1 point (to show you can behave yourself at games) would make more sense. +5 seems a very random place to draw the line.

Wouldn't mind some money back on the membership I was miss-sold then.

I got the same automatic reply. The two lads I was due to go with are members with 3 points and now they can't go lol

Look at the trouble for the Euro final with ticketless fans. This doesn't stop people going, it's stops them getting in the ground.

Many will have already bought flights because they were expecting it to reach general sale. Why not announce no general sale from the off?

As for members with their details on record, there is just no excuse whatsoever.

People should stop buying memberships and let them know why.

I would also be contacting the club for money back.

No general sale is bad enough, but denying fans that have paid for a membership (which is an excuse to charge people for the opportunity to buy tickets) is absolutely disgusting.

There’s no reason to deny anyone with a membership. General sale - I can accept their fears but membership when the club have the persons full details.

Ultimately within reason, the club should look to reduce ticketless fans. The flash points at the last CL trip were caused by such situations.
