Bar the centre back injuries, I think Rodgers has got enough players, particularly midfielders, to be getting on with before any more money is spent in that position. We've already bought Soumare and loaned Praet. Unless it's a right winger (not a makeshift one like Perez), he needs to make a team from what he's got, there's enough talent in there. Stop slavishly following a philosophy and employ tactics to win with what you've got.

Probably not true anyway but we do need to keep looking for potential recruitments that's how teams evolve especially when so many of ours are being tempted away.

....I  believe the initial premise relating to the original post was the sale of Tielemans!!!

  Getting this fellow in as a replacement is the question being asked but to bring him in without the sale of Maddison or Tielemans would be pretty self indulgent.

True, but Soumare hasn't even had time to bed in yet, Praet in some people's estimations wasn't even given a fair crack of the whip. With Tielemans, Soumare, Ndidi, KDH, Choudhury, Albrighton, Perez, Lookman and Barnes, depending how we'd employ the latter 3, I think Rodgers has got enough to work with at the moment without spending more money and wages on anymore shiny things at the moment. He doesn't know his best team at the moment without complicating matters for him. 

 

As you rightly comment though, the chances are that this is just meaningless and groundless rumour.
