I really don't like the sprints, but that was great fun. Guess racing at a good track is what counts more than the format as used to the dross served up at Imola.

Funny how the line has always been 'the sprint is not a race... it just sets the grid for Sunday' and now it's all 'MERCEDES TAKE FIRST WIN OF 2022'.

Still, Russell is excellent. Big chance to take his first win tomorrow. Hopefully Carlos is dangerous too.

Surprised Max got a penalty for that

He took far too much speed in to Turn 2 and expected Hamilton to get out the way.

Hamilton was ahead and had the racing line.

Sky shitting themselves that they are gonna get boycotted again.

Legend's mood is a highlight in this thread. Pisses himself when Max does badly, Wets himself when Lewis does well, cries himself to sleep when Max does well and would seemingly take a bullet for Lewis under any circumstances.

Cult of personality is out in force. Keep it up, I enjoy it.

It annoys me that Sky have been playing the situation down this year with regards to Max's racing etiquette.  Simple fact this season is that he's never found himself in a position where he's had to resort to racing this way since Ferrari's self-inflicted shambles early season never led to a consistent enough challenge over the season.  Now that Mercedes appear to be getting back to genuine pace and competitiveness, we're back to where we were.  He will never change.

I want to blame Max but think it was more of a racing incident tbh
