The good thing about this is if you don't want to wait 24 hours, just increase the yeast amount and it's still excellent. On Saturday I turned it around in 5 hours, which I used a sachet of yeast rather than just a gram or so.

Will stick to East Mids as don’t venture West often. I’d go

The Bradgate in Newtown Linford. Cooked perfectly to order. 

 

It's a pub, not a pizzeria but it excels IMO.

I’ve just bought an Ooni koda 2 (gas) 

 

I’m up to my neck in flour and dough and trying a cold ferment overnight, I’m new to this so any tips? I’ve bought a pizza peel, is it hard to get the pizza onto the pizza peel or is there a knack to it? 
 

I must have watched about 30 videos on tik tok with different recipes. Anyone got a really easy one either same day that still tastes nice or one where tou put the dough in the fridge?  
 

Dough gets f*cking everywhere doesn’t it 


Any good recommendations for pizza base sauce? Or any tips in general for a newbie?

I remember seeing the below video and where I’ve time stamped helped me with getting it on/off peel and never had a problem with it.

 

It’s a learning experience and you’ll set the things on fire and do all sorts. Tastes so much better when you nail it though.

 

Best sauce I ever made was actually a leftover bolognaise sauce I’d made it a slow cooker and just had to hand. All preference if you want a fresh tomato and basil flavour or a richer one cooked and reduced.

Was there this weekend and can confirm very good. Firestation in Rothley still the best in Leicester for me but the Swan is a great option.
