Do we think he'll break into the Premier League's all-time top 10 before he retires?

He's currently 14th on 128, with RVP (144), Sheringham (146), Ferdinand (149), and Owen (150) the four in front of him.

This season

He could easily do it by the end of next season, barring injury.

I love you’re optimism but with the number of games left and him only just returning I think that would be  a hard task even for the GOAT. I hope you are right though!

Shut up Gabby lollollol

This has really wound me up. For him to say that Berbatov and Tevez are better finishers than Vardy is crazy. Vardy must have one of the best shots to goals conversion rates since the premier league was founded. That's the only way to determine the best finishers.

😂😂😂😂 not fit to clean Vardy's boots. Not one stat stands up to Vardy.

Let's be honest most villa fans will cringe at it.

Gabby 13 prem goals in a season. As your name suggests not even fit for the WSL.

Not sure why your bothered about who he claims is better.

He has no right his stats at best are half that of Vardy.

Your twice the player I was but I'll put you down. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

It's also worth noting that none of the players behind Vardy in that list is still playing - indeed several of them stopped playing 15 years or more ago.

I read somewhere else that the second highest scorer of PL goals over age 30 who's still playing is Aubameyang with 40-odd.....and he's now left the PL. So it looks as if Vardy could hold that record for a long time....

Not sure it will be beaten, it’s taken 20yr since Wrighty hung up his boots for someone to beat him.

This goes nicely with his most consecutive premier league goals record and I’d like him to got another couple, oldest scorer in prem currently Teddy at nearly 41 (40 & 268 days which surprises me that he didn’t best Wrighty) & maybe go for most Pl goals for 1 club currently Aguero with 184 man c might be a stretch that

I think you're right - it's a record that might never be broken. Both Wright and Vardy were late bloomers who didn't start playing in the top flight until their mid-twenties. It's probably no coincidence that they both scored so many after turning 30 - most players as good as them are closer to being worn out by then. It's very rare for such a talented player of any position to be discovered so late, never mind a clinical striker who has a chance of beating that record.

Getting more than Owen after Owen's "not a natural goalscorer" comment would arguably be his greatest shithouse moment. Would love to see him reveal a "not a natural scorer - 150 UP" T-shirt as he slots it away.

Desperately hoping to see this moment

But unfortunately the next game Vardy does not score, some fans here will be calling for him to hang up his boots and questioning the legend.

lol No they won't.

100 PL goals are on Sky right now.

A bit messed up at first though, it missed off some games such as Bournemouth A under Ranieri.

I just want him to get above 150 so he can stick 2 fingers up at Owen for his comments.

Under BR his scored a PL goal every 1.68 games, if he carries on at that rate he will break in 40 games time.

Not impossible by any means

This season he has also gone past Ernie Hines to stand third on the all time LCFC goalscorers chart, behind the two Arthurs (159 gls).

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, if it has I didn't see it.

This is a proper stat and one Vardy should be very proud of, the one about most premier league goals (a competition running for just 30 years) over 30 (a totally arbitrary number) is meaningless.
