Well done. Download strava though, much better way to record progress.

Hmmm, I could start using it again. I might start taking my phone out on runs to listen to audible again as I quite enjoyed that last year

Was just about to say download Strava for logging it. So much easier for sure

Enjoy the Novablast 5s though, absolutely elite shoes they are, so many good memories in them already I have

Did another 10 miler today to see how my body reacted to back to back long runs. I did start to get knee pain right at the end but generally speaking my legs feel pretty fresh.

Technically if you don’t log it in Strava, the run didn’t happen :D

First treadmill run last night. Boring as shit, but don’t fancy breaking an ankle on the frost / ice.

10 miles this morning. Steady seven miles then finish with three quicker.
Really didn’t fancy it when I saw it was -4 and my front door wouldn’t open. Glad I got out. Enjoyed it in the end.

Conditions were too treacherous to run on the pavement in Leicester yesterday, so did 20 laps of the local rugby pitch. Hoping it will be a bit better when I go out in 30 minutes.

Hello everybody, I’ve decided to enter the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, whilst raising money for Lamp.

Lamp provide mental health support for people around Leicestershire & Rutland.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated.

with every donation, I’ll be adding your name to my shirt, because nobody should suffer alone, and my god… I’ll be suffering come May 😂

I won’t be doing it as I’m usually reluctant to pay to run around here but the route looks alright.

Anyone ever done the Monsall Trail half? Was going to sign up as my other half fancies doing one but I’m not sure on the route for that one.

I have signed up for this!!!

Nice mate. Think I’ll end up doing it.

Cant make my mind up on a longer run and it’s really pissing me off 😂. They are either too expensive to gamble on being fit for (ultra x Scotland), probably too much of a step up ( ultra x Scotland 2 dayer) or look poorly subscribed to which makes me question why i don’t just go out on my own (Malvern Hills ultra).

Are they loads of dough? Don't suppose they have a defer option if you did get injured?

Like Potter, i'm also raising funds for escapades this year for LEBC charity. Both the London marathon and then closely followed by a 50km run in memory of my mum. Any donation would be massively appreciated. 💙💙💙

good luck with the run. If you’re wanting people to join you at any point during the 50k, I’ll run some a couple of miles with you (no pressure if not haha)

That Scotland one is about £400 if you want to do the two day, get a t shirt and take out the insurance incase you get injured 😂 otherwise you can defer. There is an option for half the price but you have to raise £500 for charity. Seems extremely steep to me.

Get some tape on your knee so your kneecap tracks correctly but otherwise it is really just rest.

Had an absolutely stunning trot down Bognor Regis promenade 8am Sunday morning. Up there with my favourite ever runs.

Also what's people's experience with predicted 5K times? Watch is saying a precited time of 22:43 but that seems way too fast at the minute. Am I just not pushing hard enough?

I wouldn’t take them that seriously tbh.

i finished my first half before Christmas at 2:04. 2 days later it said I could finish one at 1:46…

Keep training and it’ll sort itself out

Strava predicted times are further out than Garmin so it depends on where it’s getting it from. I’d also so it’s probably more likely to be volatile if it’s not got many runs to go from.

I've had this, now I've done a 5k at just under 25 minutes it thinks my 10k could be a shade over 50 minutes which is just not going to happen at my current fitness level.

I can only guess it will get more accurate over time with more data but it probably errs on the positive side to encourage people I guess!
