That's hugely disappointing news about the academy. Like Earps slipped away because we were a third tier side, that's one thing, but creating situations where we're in the top flight and still see players leaving like that because of our own lack of planning is another entirely.

Yeah, I suspect there probably isn't...

But anything's possible - Come on Leicester! Up the City! Come on you blue girls!

Can say similar for the Chelsea game on Wednesday too, extra couple days rest and no game next weekend whereas they’ve got the FA Cup final and a few injuries of their own

it's definitely the best time to be playing them given the CL result earlier in the week but let's be honest, today is a success if we just keep our goal difference above Brightons.

I think they are now missing seven starters

they've got quite the injury crisis, and people in football really need to look into the prevalence of ACL injuries in women's football (at a guess shit pitches and training facilities for a lot of clubs, but even we've had them training at Belvoir Drive and playing at the KP) but the squad depth is on another level, like no Meidema or Mead but they can still call on Blackstenius

I was speaking to a physio a few weeks back and she said it’s something to do with the angle of the hips that make women more susceptible to them.

It’s a good job they’re playing their second team then …
