Brighton won, Reading lost so Brighton are now 5 clear of Reading, which should be enough for them. 3 way shot between us, spurs and reading although reading have to beat Spurs next time out

Tough game tomorrow against Chelsea, another keep the goal difference down game with us only being 1 better than Reading's

If we ended up pulling off the unthinkable and winning that'd about do us

Shannon O'Brien could be back in the squad too

What a pleasurable season this has been for all at lcfc.

Ffs regardless of the leagues, surely next season can't be this miserable.

I know Chelsea were massive favourites tonight but still, it just feels grim day after day after day

good news is Reading play Chelsea on the final day (which Chelsea will almost certainly need to win for the title), so a win v West ham or Brighton will do it. Keep starting seasons poorly though and giving ourselves a lot to do, desperately need some actual investment (Seimsen is afaik the only player we've paid a fee for) to push on and not be perennial relegation candidates

.. we need to retain our keeper!!!

Mace still needs to be here next season, Goodwin needs more time on the pitch.

Just a few more players with better quality will push us right up the league.

I dont think she'll want to come back.

It’s very much her level, similar to when she pissed the Championship, get a couple good seasons and more confidence back under her belt and then have another crack at the WSL maybe.

Our WSL team is a good barometer of the club's plight...

not really. the women's team tried to cheap it out and survive in the top flight on loans and free signings for 18 months, with one transfer which cost less than a week of having Ryan Bertrand. the men's team is the most expensive and highly paid team we've ever had. two very different issues: one cheaping out, lot of fight but short on quality, the other expensive af, lot of quality but short on fight

And perhaps unsurprisingly when you lay it out like that the one with a lot of fight has a better chance of finishing the job in their relegation battle

Good points. I meant in terms of results but, yes, you know a lot more about it than I do...

I'd be amazed if we retain our keeper. She has properly proved herself with us, and I expect there will be some bigger clubs interested in her.

It will be just like the men's team the best players will be snapped up and move to a 'bigger' club before you can say Wow they're better than good.
