Eldin Jakupovic, Tyrese Shade, Callum Hulme, Vontae Daley-Campbell, Jacob Wakeling and Will Russ released.

Signed Callum Wright and Bayli Spencer-Adams to extensions.

Guessing Spencer-Adams ones to help his injury recovery, think it was ACL?

Be interested to see if any of them get football league clubs.

I don't think he looked bad when he played that game against Brighton in the cup. He didn't look great against Watford, though.

Couldn't control the ball or pass a ball 2 yards consistently.

Looked awful every time he played, I doubt he will have a career in League 2 or above.

He wasn’t bad in the sense that he didn’t actively do anything wrong but pretty much every attribute let him down. Physically, he wasn’t fast or strong enough and technically, he looked L2 standard.

The Watford game was the final straw though. He was calamitous and very lucky to not have been sent off.

Wonder if Eldin leaving is part of the “rebuild”. We need to keep our wage budget down in order to comply with incoming UEFA regulations, but have to maximise how we use that to compete at the top end of the table.

Having one of our youth players as 3rd choice keeper could be a useful potential saving on the wage budget - stolarczyk for instance.

Come on he was quite clearly not at the level we needed.

This. Look at Thomas, a similar age and position. I sometimes have my doubts about him, but he was / is miles better than VDC.

These are but six twigs in the scheme of the dead-wood clearance.  Lumber-jack Rudders needs to fire up his  chain-saw and fell some large earners to get the clearing ready for the much talked about re-build.   But a start at least.

There has to be a story behind the Wakeling thing. He was hitting them in for fun in the U23s and then disappeared from the first team. He then went on that disastrous loan to Barrow, where he wasn't even being put on the bench when they had space available. He is only 20. What the heck happened there?

My thoughts as well, be interested to know the reasons, always impressed me when I watched him.

Looks a natural goal scorer.

Alves is only moving into his second year of scholarship so that won't be announced here

Ah ok my mistake 😂

Given they don't feature on the retained list, I make that the scholars departing are:

- Bailey Aisthorpe (was a third year who made no appearances at any level in 2021-22)

- Jack Butterfill (signing for Barnsley)

- Kartell Dawkins

- Jesper Kutshienza

- Cody Read

Extensions offered to Odunze, Terell Pennant and Ewing. I thought Leshabela was also out of contract but appears not.

Kian Pennant is the only second year scholar to have signed pro at this stage, but worth noting this list was submitted by 26 May, so things may have happened since. Offers in for Brandon Cover, Joe Wormleighton, Harvey Godsmark-Ford and Arlo Doherty.
