Well anyone out there who is better there are lots of options come on

I imagine if there were lots of options so readily available we may have made a move.

So you are saying that if our recruitment was better they couldn’t get a younger centre half on half the wages IF they got rid of him? Because of course they could in my opinion. There are plenty in the lower leagues that are both younger and full of potential. You’ve just got to see the bigger picture. Not sure why you are fixated on a dodgy overpaid 4 th choice centre back.

Potential is a keyword you've mentioned there, all the Amartey hate would just swing on to a lad with 'potential' because he doesn't actually have the ability yet. Add in he probably wouldn't play so really all you'd do is slow down their development. Furthermore, they'd have to fit in to the squad and we'd have to be fairly sure they wouldn't kick up a fuss.

I like Amartey and I've always said if we could replace him with someone cheaper wage wise, happy to hardly play if we have a fully fit squad, as well as being versatile across a couple of areas and also not stop us from recruiting in more important areas then we should. But all of that is a big ask and probably a fairly time consuming task for ultimately a new 4th choice centre back.

Fair enough good case. I just disagree and believe that if he was gone on the big wages we are paying him. He could be replaced with a younger and better centre half if the recruitment team were on point with their task. A younger player would be happy to learn from the likes of Evans and wait their turn.

Has he gone yet? What’s occurring?

Why, you wondering whether to cancel the function room, catering and DJ you've booked for the party?

Some think Jonny is going to sail through the season without a problem. He could but its unlikely. They also want Caglar, Dan and Jannik out . Under this scenario we are left with Fofana , Brunt and Nelson if Jonny is crocked. I am all in favour of youth but that sounds very risky to me and I reckon Rodgers would think the same. We are probably keeping the same crew as last season and then we need to find a mid twenties experienced replacement for Jonny. ready for 23/24.

I'd be in agreement with you. It'd be naive to think Evans won't have further injury problems, or other issues that see him out.  Fortunately, I think the club would be of the same belief. Certainly we need to let some players go and strengthen the squad but I don't suppose we'll shoot ourselves in Evans' foot.

Pretty sure that would make his availability quite a lot worse…..

Besiktas are eyeing a move for Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey as they continue to strengthen their squad this summer.

That’s according to Fanatik, who say the Turkish side are planning to spend the money brought in from Ridvan Yilmaz’s potential move to Rangers.

Amartey is one of two players who ‘will be targeted’ by the Black Eagles when their transfer funds are boosted by the sale.

They are ‘extremely determined’ to strengthen their squad this summer and have now ‘rolled up their sleeves’ to bring in new players once Yilmaz departs.

Their ‘interested’ in Leicester’s Amartey and have offered the player a contract worth €2m per year in early negotiations.

Leicester are open to a sale and have set a €5.5m asking price on the Ghanian defender, whose contract at the Kingpower is set to expire next summer.

That may mean Brendan Rodgers’ and co are keen to sell rather than run the risk of losing the 27-year-old on a free transfer in 12 months.

Whether Besiktas are willing to match the Foxes’ demands or Amartey is keen on the move isn’t clear, but the interest is there nonetheless.

I do hope this won’t be ANOTHER example of where we can’t move a player on due to what they are earning at Leicester.

It looks like Besiktas want him but the wages could be the issue

The Turks are offering him 10 million lira a week - about 50 quid. Someway short of the 100,000 dollars he wants. Its nearly always about personal terms.

I can't help but read that as:  Besiktas are "extremely determined" to strengthen their squad this summer and have rolled up their sleeves by offering 1m Euros to Leicester City for Amartey a player they see as absolutely vital to their plans for the coming season.

Amartey is not gone, so your title is incorrect.

The second part was a joke :)

It was more as an indicator as in player potentially going “OUT” as “IN”.

OUT usually means the player is gone.  Not maybe, possibly, could be, going somewhere.

Hence why none of the other players listed say OUT
