“Doesn’t look good”

That doesn't sound great, given Brendan's usual injury over-optimism...

Defensive looked fine, but we weren't put under much pressure. Fofana got slight headers on a couple Maddison deliveries in the first half, but no real chances created.

England ladies over Leicester though? ;)

I know right.

I was at a family BBQ and not all share my love of Leicester.

Phew, I can’t cope with poor defending of set pieces again, especially if have Evans, Fofana, Ndidi and Castagne on the pitch.

He’s third choice in a role we only play with one player. He isn’t going to start over Vardy and doesn’t offer as much as Daka.

Why are we playing praet and dewsbury hall on the wing instead of two strikers is more what im getting at. Most of our fans are gnawing at the bit to get rid of him, perhaps it might be the right call to replace him with a right winger, but while he's still here and we're light on the wings lets at least utilise him instead of pushing players out of position.

I still think a healthy rotation to involve all our cf’s would be to Start Vardy then on 65 mins bring  on Nacho and Daka as a pair, losing Barnes and switching to 5-3-2. Think they’re both better with a partner and have gelled well before, a real plan A and B and giving the opposition something new to think about.

The 4 year deal for Ricardo was a mistake in my opinion. But we appear to be the charity that keeps giving at times.

It's a great piece of business, but you simply cannot legislate for injuries...

Need to be looking to move him on as soon as he’s fit again.
He’s not the same player that he was when he joined.

I’ve been repetitive, bordering on boring but Ricky sadly hasn’t done anything to prove on his return that he was worthy of such a contract.

Pre-injury he was epic and a genuine top quality FB but he can’t stay fit, how many back to back games did he muster last season?

He’s definitely lost that acceleration that aided his skill set so well.

Essien at Chelsea had a similar injury and was never the same afterwards.

I didn’t watch it as watched the England ladies.

Please say this is a joke, if not…I genuinely can’t see Brendan lasting all season, we cannot expect a decent season if not addressing our set piece fragilities.

It's on youtube if you want to play catch up.

Injuries suck but I don’t think there was malicious intent behind the hard tackles. We had a few, too…including one by Fofona to start the physical play

Surely great is a bit of sensationalism when judging Ricky since injury.

Pre-injury, I totally agree but he probably would have gone to a “big 6” side if carried on that form.

The guy had been out for something like 12 months and has been like trading in a Rolls Royce for an old banger since. We should have had a look at it before wading in with a new contract. We just had the Matty James situation. We just don't learn at times.

Barnes wasn't from a hard tackle, just the manner his foot was planted...

Hopefully he took a pay-cut in favour of a longer deal, as other clubs probably wouldn't have offered him a 4-year deal with his injury record in the last few years.

Hopefully, he does seem to be a good “pro” too, so if us as fans appreciate that he probably isn’t our first choice FB anymore, he is a great squad player.

Shame, I loved him before but JJ and Castagne are pretty decent alternatives, fingers crossed they can stay fitter this season too.

We've probably doubled his wage.

Ricky I’m afraid is a crock. The nasty injury he had looks to have about finished him at this level

Such bad luck both for him and the club

He was "out for something like 12 months" because of an ACL - no different from Justin...
