A good night for Iversen to get under his belt, clean sheet in the 90 mins then hero in the penalties. He should be feeling fully integrated and appreciated after a night like that, the boy becomes a man and everyone (except maybe new super signing whassisname Smithers) will be delighted for him.

lol They have quite a busy forum to be fair.

Fans like these are so far from what we experience that their only grasp on it is what Jason Cundy is shouting down a talksport mic… and that is that we should stay in our box and be a nice little club just existing in the Premier League. In reality we’re the only club in the last 6 years who’ve attempted to rustle up the established order without breaking sustainable investment. It baffles me to read a Stockport fan write something like that.

Are they basing it off to 5th place finishes, an fa cup, charity shield and a European semi final then?

No...the fact we're playing shit and getting worse by the game is the reason for any other poor sap living in denial

We were playing a team parking the bus & a real banana skin playing a team well up for it under the lights. We had 78% possession & managed 26 shots on goal to 6, but couldn't get it in the net. Got to penalties which was their game plan at the end with their fans, & we showed the mental strength to come through.

If we'd have won our first 3 games of the season, people would have been happy with that.

I get we've had 3 disappointing league results beforehand, but the toxic posts in this thread are out of context given we've actually gone through tonight, and it feels to me that the general view is that people were predetermined to rant and are a bit disappointed we got through. Difficult to believe this is meant to be a forum of people of support Leicester City...

Anyone that wants us to lose any match is in the absolute minority. I wish people would stop making this claim when they're making excuses for a regime at the club that is clearly on the ropes, we've heard it with every manager that was deservedly shitcanned

But for me, he still has credit in the bank for winning the holy grail of the FA Cup, so I'd rather give it a couple of months to see where this season is headed...

You need a couple more months to see where this season is heading????

I'm no mystic Meg but even through tightly closed eyes most can see exactly where we're headed.

Without reading 9 pages..

Iverson class above tonight and needs to start Saturday but probably won’t happen..

Cags had a decent game, in fact many did but give credit to Stockport for parking the bus 2nd half.. glad to get another cup tie.

Worst journey home in a while

Onto Chelsea..

Embarrassing stuff. He hasn't got a clue how to fix this. Please for everyones sake, including your own, call this a day.

I'm just glad the 3rd round isn't for a while and hopefully by then there'll be a new man in charge. We've stayed in the cup but it's ultimately another embarrassing night for us. We were the headline story.

I've never been more sure in my time as a Leicester City fan that I don't want a manager at my club anymore. Even with Puel there was a slight amount of hesitation. Not an ounce of me wants to see him in charge of this club anymore.

Likewise. He's absolutely killing us. I cannot stand him.

Fair play to Iversen. Missing two penalties could easily see you knocked out but saving 3 from 4 is impressive. Bit of individual quality saved us there.

Beyond that the only real positive is that we’re in the hat for the next round.

Could say this about 90% of wins in the last two years.

In your face Crawley Town. You hear that Dan Walker? We’re better than your home town team

Watching the highlights and genuinely astounded by people clapping at full time. What on earth is the thought process behind that, you’ve travelled to Stockport on a Tuesday night, and got through on penalties against a bunch of pub footballers. It’s pathetic and is a losers mentality.

I know people are at liberty to react however they want but the players need to know it isn’t good enough. It was the same at Forest in January, about twenty people stood in front of me clapping the players off after being thumped by our local rivals.

I bet it will be the same when we inevitably get battered by Chelsea on Saturday too.

I clapped. I don't think booing players is a great motivator. I'd rather they felt a sense of responsibility to a loyal fan base than a sense of antipathy to a bunch of mouth-frothing booers.

I did boo Rodgers though. He's old enough to get it.

Thinking back - I wish we'd known about Fofana refusing to train before the game. Some of the anger directed at Youri was unfair and it clearly got to him. His performance wasn't great but he took the first penalty and made a point of celebrating properly, then there was the thing with him and Maddison at the end. Clearly wound up.

His form has been rubbish but I didn't see anything that suggests he's stopped playing. World away from Fofana.

Were our fans booing or singing derogatory chants about Tielemans? What happened with him and Maddison at the end?

Glad we are through despite a horrid performance but the win cant mask the fact that everything has turned toxic. Fans, manager, players. The board need to get their heads out the sand and take control back from the finance dept before we end up in some serious trouble.

Tielemans over the last year has made a point of being more animated and passionate in front of the fans. I’d like to think it’s his way of showing his appreciation for the club. Clearly he didn’t think he’d still have to be doing it into this season.

Maddison looked to give the support the finger. Him and Tielemans were angry over Youri pointing at the badge and fans giving him some back.
