“Yep, pleased and we deserved it. We’ve got some quality and we showed that with our intensity and aggression toward the end of the game. It’s a tough place to come on a Tuesday night against a part time side with strong home support. It reminded me of playing in Rome last season. We’ll rest up now so we’re ready to face the Dog N Duck at the weekend.”

We were playing a team parking the bus & a real banana skin playing a team well up for it under the lights. We had 78% possession & managed 26 shots on goal to 6, but couldn't get it in the net. Got to penalties which was their game plan at the end with their fans, & we showed the mental strength to come through.

If we'd have won our first 3 games of the season, people would have been happy with that.

I get we've had 3 disappointing league results beforehand, but the toxic posts in this thread are out of context given we've actually gone through tonight, and it feels to me that the general view is that people were predetermined to rant and are a bit disappointed we got through. Difficult to believe this is meant to be a forum of people of support Leicester City...

Nice try, Brendan

I wonder how many mirrors he has in his house.

I reckon none.  Thousands of photos and portrait paintings, but no mirrors.  Surely this guy has never had a good long look at himself in the mirror!

Boring sideways football again.

All we had to do was go out and play something other than boring sideways football that produces no danger.

It's confirmation we need a change.

If you can't see that, you'll never see it. You'll be waving your Rodgers in flag from the depths of the Championship. Believe it or not, most fans don't want that.

At least we won't be able to play boring football on Saturday because we won't have a kick. Won't be much sideways passing. Will make a nice change.

Been to the game tonight and had to sit in the Stockport end.
The best way I can sum up our performance tonight was all fart and no shit.

78% possession is all very well, but do something positive with it. It’s like we were stuck in 2nd gear.

Thank god for Iversen in the shootout.

You’re talking rubbish I’m afraid. It’s all if’s buts and maybes. If we weren’t sh*t we wouldn’t be moaning. It’s time for a change.

Yawn.

If you are content with the way we are playing and with out manager by this point then you are simply not normal.

The only manager I ever wanted out more than this was NFP. Two absolute bellends.

One strangled an opposition player and the other is strangling our club. They should strangle each other.

Just got home from the game. The only positive was that I live in Stockport so could walk home.

Boring, unambitious, safe, sideways football. Players look terrified of making a mistake. No width, no creativity until Maddison came on who made a difference by actually wanting the ball and moving it forward. Every in-game decision Rodgers made went badly - moving Iheanacho up front on his own the most egregious example.

He’s making this squad less than the sum of its parts. Get him gone.

Why does everything have to be black and white???

I didn't even mention Rodgers in my post!

Last season wasn't great and the start of this season clearly hasn't been, and I've got to the point where I think maybe there does need to be a new voice in the room as his message isn't getting across. But for me, he still has credit in the bank for winning the holy grail of the FA Cup, so I'd rather give it a couple of months to see where this season is headed... But this place has no room for a balanced opinion and the toxic posters need to put words in my mouth as "waving me Rodgers flag" when I didn't even mention his name sums up the attitude.

I'm having a celebratory beer for my team getting through a tricky tie - sorry if that offends people!
