More salt than the dead Sea here. No wonder people are so miserable of theyre holding onto grudges this long lol

Let it go fellas. Alves is on the come back trail now.

Also fighting in a war as a child doesn't make you any more experienced in life.

Are you sure about that?! I’ll hold my hand up to posting a ridiculous analogy though 😂

Why would you let it go? It's not like Fofana getting injured in preseason from being on the end of a bad and unnecessary tackle, but a tackle nonetheless.

This kid assaulted Alves with the literally the only thought being that he wants to harm his opponent. And what's his punishment; a few games missed for Wolves and an England call up whilst Alves, who's done nothing wrong has his career potentially ruined by a far less talented player. Life's not fair but there's something wrong with you if you're sitting there thinking it's not ok to feel uneasy about how things are transpiring when there are ways of serving a punishment that would fit the crime (none of which would fix things for Alves)

And any reference to age and making mistakes is crass. I'm sure most of us did stupid things when we were younger but with limited consequence. I played football hard and didn't mind hurting another player if it was fair. But most people have a basic moral compass from the time they're off to nursery to start to understand what is right or wrong, so any suggestion that he made a mistake and didn't know better is embarrassing for somebody of his age.

There are horrific challenges, and then there is premeditated ABH, and that's what that was.

I don't care how young he was, and "we all make mistakes" blardy blah!

If that had been a City kid who was playing for us, and done what that Wolves thug done, I would want our club to bomb him out of the club the next day.

You'd bomb him out the club the next day and what? Never let him play football again?

Would you still be taking the moral high ground if it was one of our better first eleven players who did it?

I would. Dennis Wise being one of them. Should never have played for our club again after breaking a colleagues jaw whilst asleep.

Walsh was banned 11 matches for breaking David Geddes jaw. How long did Voice get?

I believe Wolves dealt with him, and he wasn't selected for games.

He would have also been suspended for the red card.

You have to let things go.

In other GOOD NEWS, to those of you interested in when Alves is back, just been told he’s back in full contact training from next week.

Just been told that too. Was going to put SNAP! then realised it looked bad in the context

I suppose most of us are just annoyed that it seems Voice is advancing his career whilst Alves is still recovering as a result of thuggish behaviour

He didn't, he was immediately sent home and sacked two weeks later.

I mentioned 'better players', Wise doesn't count, what if it had been Vardy or Kante in 2015/16?

Point is they didn't then or since

And what if he had intended to snap his leg, which is what it very much looked like?

Then I would very much hope he has learned from this and implements this learning into his football and life in general. What a horrible world it would be if we were written off for years after making stupid mistakes at the start of our career.

And I'm sorry, as much as you and others hate the notion,  he gets some mitigation from me given his age. I suspect this might be the case with the England call-up too?

Not for one second saying it hasn't been s*** for Alves by the way.

so he's ahead of Braybrooke? that's surprising news given his was a far worse injury but fantastic to hear

I'm sure David Geddes felt the same when eating through a straw.

You have to let it go.

By calling it a ‘mistake’ you minimise the fact it was an act carried out intentionally. It wasn’t a mistake.
We’ll also have to disagree about age being a mitigating factor in act like that.
I’ll leave it there.
