"We'll always back the lads". Bunch of robots. Football supporting should be about emotion and unpredictability. Reacting the same way regardless suggests you aren't invested and it doesn't really matter. You don't get a nice badge for applauding them.

This is actually very true.

Back in the day, if we won an FA Cup tie the place was buzzing, and if we lost we were all genuinely miserable walking out of the ground.

A couple of years ago, after our last day home win to West Ham ... walking out of the ground, you wouldn't have known we'd just been relegated.   Everyone was just behaving like it was a mid season 1-1 draw.

Its attention seeking, not only in the hope that one of those players applauds back, but it’s also the ‘look at me I’m loyal’ applause.

Spliff Ginneta and coach 1 I guess.

Funnily enough my mate calls the happy clappers - Ginettas

Unfortunately taking the piss was the only thing keeping most there. Spent money on tickets, travel, food etc to be 2-0 after 6 minutes. If it wasn't for my nephew wanting to watch it I would have gone home.

Everything should be directed to this board.

Tbf its the same on and off the pitch.

But that's what football has become.

Brainwashed.

****ing buffoons

If you checked out the Foxes Trust website and read the match reports, you'd see many of the active members are anything but, "happy clappers".

Whilst I only really care about our support, it's worth mentioning how bad Goodison was yesterday. Old ground, dominant win, new manager bounce in full flow and still a morgue apart from the goals. Further proof that it's a problem everywhere and not just down the KP.

While the happy clappers clap relegation. Its like buying an alcoholic relative beer to prove how much you love them .

If anything it only picked up after we started giving them stick.

Genuinely can't believe I've lost so much love for this club.

Really couldn't give a fvck if we folded right now.

There's usually something about a club that keeps you engaged. I despise the owner, the players, the manager, the board...so many things.

Even frustrates me seing the likes of Vardy chasing his own shadow on £140k per week, regardless of the legend he is.

Broken beyond repair.

Probably look at saving myself £40 pm on the season ticket at this rate.

Probably but **** me that was so terrible what the hell do you do? That lot deserved absolutely no support - they lacked even basic levels of effort and application

Difficult to argue with anything you say.

I'd love us to totally scrap these players including letting Madds and Bilal go to better teams and starting again with the likes of Alves, Nelson, Stolarcyzk, Fatawu, Braybrook

I'm not sure if they're all good enough but I'd be more fascinated in following them and seeing if we can unearth some gems rather than watching any more Faes, Yannick, BDCFR, Ayew and the rest of the merry twonk.

Totally agree, what they lack in ability would likely be made up with hunger, desire & willingness to impress & improve.

I'm not necessarily defending it but people were a combination of angry, bored and embarrassed which is a strange mix at a game

I'd been up since 4 as I set off at 6.15 in the morning so I nearly fell asleep 2nd half - It was just such a weird game all round

Yeah get that. It’s a shame because that away end had some potential. People were up for it pre match but then totally stripped away

Yes all of the enthusiasm was sucked out of us so you were left with left side / right side, blasts from the pasts and we’ve got the ball

Just out of interest, is there not a pub that people gather at pre match for a sing song? I just find it hard to believe that there are pages and pages of suggested chants yet barely any make it to the stand. Last noticeable one was mavididi and fatawu. I know I and many others are going round in circles but surely if it raises the spirit just that tiny bit it would be a start. We sound like a bunch of church goers most of the time singing hymns at a Sunday mass.
You can hear the bishops blaze outside old Trafford from half a mile away. On my Twitter reel songs from different clubs appear in pubs pre match.

although I didn’t go yesterday I’ve been bonkers

enough to get West Ham tickets :dunno:

would love something new or for people just to *pretend* like they want to be there.
