He's done an amazing job with Benfica, PSV fans fell out of love with him by the end.

Don't knock the clout of the Premier League, plus the salary we pay Rodgers. You would be surprised who we could get!

However, I suspect Schmidt ends up at an Italian club like Milan next.

No doubt, Lopetegui and Emery prove that. Think Benfica are a bigger club than we can pull from now though, as much as the pay would be dwarfed, there's a bit of a difference between leaving a club like Villareal, and Benfica.

I’d take potter when he’s sacked at chelsea ready for the 2022/23 season…

He's just more of the same rubbish we've been watching. Avoid like 5he plague

I find the reverence for NP quite bothersome at times.

Never underestimate the absence of objectivity in any human faced with a question harder than 2+2. When presented with downright obduracy in the face of good sense I'm always drawn to that wonderful timeless adage - 'eat shit - a billion flies cannot be wrong'. HNY BTW 😄

Pressing

Counter attacking

Fast paced football

Makes us score from corners

Develops players

Doesn’t waste millions on below average footballers

Who is that on the poll?

I think we're looking for someone existing beyond this mortal plane - some demigod or Marvel/DC superhero. Ultimately wise, charismatic, beneficent and empathic... who is currently watching too much daytime tv and short of a bob or two.

Alternatively, after watching Ryan Reynolds lapping up the adoration of the Racecourse faithful, I wouldn't mind if he tried his hand at managing City - at least the press conferences would be scintillating.

I’d love it if we got Simeone or Gattuso, the latter now available. I’d like to see them put their foot in on the training pitch and shake up a few of our powderpuff prima donnas.

Didn't he just extend with Brentford? He'd be mad to leave a 4 season succesful project of his own making, for a relegation contender.

The question was who would you like to manage the City, I simply put my two pennies worth into the hat. 👍🏻

Gattuso. Just been sacked by Valencia.

I can imagine the furore here if ever that happened, both good and bad. He certainly shake things up. His views might upset a few too 🤣

Past articles even before BR's time suggest the club try to appoint a name (for obvious reasons) and at the time, BR was a perfect fit. If we were to get relegated, Dean Smith with Shakespeare as assistant is a possibility (Smith has admirers at the club according to one article). It was reported at the time of BR's appointment that Benitez came close, Solskjaer is clearly a name so the club may look at him (clearly though there are questions over his managerial career up until now). Hasenhuttl, for one reason or another wasn't able to sustain those times at S'ton where they would play to that top level. Seem to recall when they did have those periods though they were highly impressive. That being said, I wouldn't be totally enamoured with him. Wolves and Villa have done really well to appoint Lopetegui and Emery, both have top pedigree.
