Wait for potter. He’s on the brink.

No time to wait, we're desperate!

My worry is will he take a short-term deal, he will at least have the reputation to command a 2-year deal out of this, and then we get Rafa ball. I'd rather go down than watch Rafa ball.

Till end of season Big bonus for keeping is up, I think he would take it

And tbh the only football I want to watch is trying to win and giving 100 %. Shithousing a 1-0 win is fine with me.

I'd take it if we couldn't get someone else, he's got a proven track record, but I really would not want him past the last match!

Is Potter that good or are Brighton just very well run? De Zerbi has done as good if not better since he came in. Hard to judge on Chelsea really given the pressure and all the signings

Not having a replacement probably reinforces that the club strategy and leadership is disjointed at best. They’ll should have been planning for this we all know BR wasn’t turning this around.

They’ll probably go for Rafa.

I honestly don’t think it matters who we get. They’ll probably keep us up. This squad has more than enough talent. We just need someone with fresh ideas to keep us up. I don’t even think we need to worry about next season right now. Maybe that sounds silly but we’re down as things stand.

Jon Dahl Thomasson i liked the way his Blackburn Rovers team played or Ralph Hassenhutl we need to get back to high press fast attacking football !

I was very impressed by them. Everything we should be.

We'll be relegated if we wait. Plus if Leicester approach him now, it's a breach of contract from Chelsea.

They need to look for someone available now.

If Leicester approach Chelsea it’s a breach of contract … funny old world ain’t it, remember Fofana getting tapped up? Joking aside, Potter’s agent will be the first to know if we’re interested, and talks will happen if he’s interested.

Like others have said, it’s gonna be very interesting to see how we play the appointment. Do we get an interim in to save us and then a proper appointment at the end of the season lined up? We’ve got a huge rebuild in the summer which a manager is going to need input on.

Thomas Frank would be a great fit but I expect he'll not jump ship due to our situation. However a few more to consider (?)

- Chris Wilder

- Paul Heckingbottom (unlikely as may prefer to risk going up rather than down!)

- Scott Parker (hopefully not)

- Giovanni Van Bronckhurst

Rafa, Pochchettino etc.. - forget it. We need someone to fight to keep us in the PL and then build from the bottom up.

I'd also like to see a shake-up at board level. Top is out of his depth and I get the impression those around him only have their interests at heart. Perhaps Gary Linker would be a good mentor.

Rafa's favourite from online bookies......last job was Everton where he wasn't much liked and got sacked after a series of dreadful results and falling out with certain players

But he started off at Everton really well and they were flying. He does that with us and we stay up.

Wouldn't actually surprise me if we had someone lined up - club seems water tight these days about leaks.
