Just so dull isn't it. Watching Italian football atm and it's almost surprising to see committed players playing dynamic football

We played today the same way we played against Gillingham and Walsall. Passive passing around retaining possession waiting for opportunities to present themselves, rather than pushing and creating opportunities.

 

The thing is, unless Madders or Youri bang in a worldie ( or maybe Kells), very little actually presents itself. Its why our xg has been consistently low. Unless they dig us out of trouble we don't do much.

 

I don't believe for one minute this is how the team wants to play.

This point was made like 12 months ago, individual brilliance kept us up last season but it’s finally running out.

"We had 99% of the possession but they had 100% of the goals" has never been more apt. You could just see them go wide, turn inside, get blocked, turn out again then pop a shot off target or at a Southampton player. 

 

I'm all for trying to make sure your chances are good ones but fuching hell, you could see the Southampton players knew to just crowd the box.
