The police/investigators apparently went to one of the pilot's house and found on a pilot simulator game of theirs a saved screen where they were flying a plane into the middle of the ocean.

Possibly, but not due to that evidence, and not necessarily that pilot.  That simulation was proven to be a case where he stopped flying and left the sim running and it happened to keep heading into the ocean.

The unresolved mysteries subreddit is great and I often end up down rabbit holes. 

 

Recently reading about the Missy Bevers case. Despite there being really unsettling CCTV of the suspect dressed in full SWAT uniform and wandering around her place of work waiting for her to arrive, they haven't a clue who murdered her (or they do and don't have enough evidence)

I have enough trouble trying to imagine Leicester City getting a clean sheet anytime soon
