He takes a lot of stick on here and rightly so, but £12M of Kasey McAteer is a great but of work, especially adding in the PSR angle. I just hope we have 2 or 3 quality loans lined up to happen at the end of the window.

Not giving this incompetent fraudster any credit for the player sales. He is a big reason for the mess we are in the first place. This cannot be overstated.

There will be no credit for Rudkin around here thanks. Unless he manages to shift Soumare, Vestergaard and Faes for actual money.

Adding the PSR angle in - you mean the PSR sh*t he has put us in.

 

He's dug a hole 6 foot deep, kicked our club into the hole and you think he deserves some credit for putting a handful of dirt on top!

Yes that's right. The outgoing transfer business this window has been decent so far and deserves a bit of credit. Is Rudders a hopeless DoF who is out of his depth and needs moving on? Yes, absolutely. Both statements can be true at the same time.

The outgoing transfer business only deserves credit if these players are replaced by young, cheap hungry gems who'll play for the shirt and save us a fortune. It's doable. 

 

But without the second bit, it's asset stripping.

Ok let's reframe it.

 

£12 million for McAteer is an awful deal. Any DoF worth his salt would have got £45M for an International winger with his talent. 95% of people on here want major change in the boardroom and maybe 80% want new ownership - myself included - but let's not be so blinded by rage that we can't recognise the (few) good things the club do.

The way I see it is that £12m for McAteer is great but this deal points to the problem with Rudkin.

 

He seems to hold out for ridiculous money so the amount of reasonable offers we've rejected ultimately has led to players stinking the place out and then leaving on a free.

 

We'd have certainly rejected £6m -£8m (a completely reasonable fee for McAteer) so like a broken clock, Rudders is bound to get it right from time to time but this is no way to run a football club long term.

I didn't say that. I was pointing out how whatever the club does someone lines up to give them stick.

Where does the idea that asset stripping is taking place come from?
