I think Evans is a big miss. Provided leadership.

...Evans organised the backline and was a rock in that position!!!

But the leadership which the team required was not there.

Players led by example (Vardy, Maddison) but did not have the overall ability to lead others.

Kristiansen's attitude on the pitch, I would suspect, could become quite grating to some of his team mates, he could be viewed as attempting to shine a light on himself as opposed to helping the team. The supporters would like his positivity and all action displays,  but his team mates perhaps would want him to take it down a notch or two. Is he being genuine or just out for himself? We won't know until we get to know him.

Why are we still playing Rogers football.... surely the idea is sack the manager... change things for instant change!

Just absolutely bonkers

oh wow i wonder why! because maybe it wasnt Rodgers but the players that are the problem.

Oh come on Simoken, I know you were his number one fan right up to the end, but surely you have to agree it was time for him to go, it may now be too late even with a change to stay up, but too think BR was going to turn it round is simply farcical he was finished, we will see how the same players react over the next few games with a different approach, I support the team, and prey to anyone that will listen we remain in the Prem, but fear it might be too late.

I still prefer BR than DEANO and I think it was more to do with the players not performing, because they have before under him and won trophys so i dont see whats ultimately changed. I think after a while with consistent disappointment missing out of CL football two seasons in a row, players lose motivation naturally, so the club should of been alot more cutthroat and refreshed the squad alot  sooner.  I do think they should of got rid of him months ago though.. :( so my blame is firmly on the ownership and the players settling and running down contracts rather than commiting to the badge. Im fed up with how soft this club is, i know everyone hates on Chelsea at how harsh they seem to conduct business but if LCFC had that same cutthroat approach maybe we wouldnt be in this mess in the first place... Should of sold Indidi / Albrighton / Tielemans and a few others last season..

I agree with the sentiment that we needed to refresh but you can only sell if clubs are interested in buying and put suitable offers in and then the player needs to agree to the move. Look at Vestergaard and Soyuncu, Rodgers couldn't have been more emphatically clear that they're not going to be used but they're still here on the wage bill. If there had been a reasonable bid for Youri in the summer or last January to a club he would happily move to then that may have freed up some money for a mini re-fresh but it's one thing wanting to move on a group of unwanted players and the reality of it happening. The problem is we're dealing with a very narrow window of clubs as we've paid such relatively high salaries that clubs traditionally lower than us would struggle to justify and match and clubs traditionally just above us (top 6 plus Newcastle) wouldn't be interested in them. Youri would be an exception to that but unless we accepted that pathetic offer for Maddison, a player we didn't want to lose, the offers just weren't forthcoming and even when they were the player(s) refused to take the offer to move anyway.

I think you make a good point, but lack of fitness IS lack of effort. They are professional footballers being paid an obscene amount and who want to challenge for prizes, if they aren’t fit enough how can that not be due to a lack of effort? If the fitness isn’t coming in training a few hours a day what’s the excuse for not getting fit outside of training?

Fitness football wise isn't achieved by just running around a lot. The problem is we aren’t mentally sharp, that can only be achieved by specific drills, that get the players reacting quicker, in different games/situations.

So everything that was good in the first 2 years was Rogers, but everything that's been awful to watch and truly embarrassing has been down to the players, interesting outlook.

It’s up to the manager to fire up the players and Rodgers has failed to do that for the past 18 months

Telling that smith has noted our players lack of “energy” in some of his first comments

New energy drink of Skittles and Vodka to be introduced with immediate effect...

This is very true, but it’s also something the players can take into their own hands. There’s nothing stopping players working with coaches outside of training. Ultimately if the coaches are not taking responsibility the players have to.

but I fully agree the onus is on the coaches to do better. The best players in the world like Haaland, Mbappe, Messi and Ronaldo etc all very well documented to stay after hours to work on drills.

I also question what the video analytics team are actually doing. They should be the ones giving video footage, of areas to improve to the coaches. I can think of about 8 situations of the top if my head. Daka v Brighton, Ndidi v Villa, Madddison v Bournemouth, Castagne v Newcastle league Cup, the Southampton goal, an Faes against Newcastle possibly and twice against Liverpool where its a case of get the clip. What could we have done better in that situation? An just repeat repeat on the training ground.

I’ve no idea how much the full back room coaches has changed since the Pearson days? There’s a few prominent coach names that we are all aware of but there’s many many more who don’t really get any exposure so would be interesting to know if the behind the scenes coaches/analysts are largely unchanged or whether the last 3 managers have dramatically changed it?

We used to run through walls and superior fitness and sharpness was a key trait of a Leicester squad under Nige but that seems to be completely lost these days
