There is more to it than meets the eye apparently . He quit Tel Aviv cause he didn't feel safe in Israel. He quit Watford for personal reasons because his daughter had a brain tumor and wanted to be with his family. At Reims he quit because his daughter passed away. So I would get it if he couldn't give a 100% back then. Let's hope he does know. Does anyone know his playstyle?

...posted before, seen him play with a 3-5-1-1, with Wout Faes as the central CB !!!

From what I remember, he was a possession-based, Cruyffian-inspired coach.

For the Thai fans, here are Suphanat Mueanta's highlights from last cup game against Eendracht Elene Grootbergen. He left a good impression.

He's actually really good wow

...that looked like a penalty to me, Maziz going down after being "clipped" in the box and surrounded by 4 Westerloo players!!!

Maziz stayed down, the ref waved "play on" then blew his whistle to take a look at Maziz and decided to have a drop ball after about 5 seconds, he did not even look to check with VAR.

...Garcia is in the stands watching this game, he knows he has his work cut out!!!

The game was pretty even, Westerloo just shading it until the penalty and after they got their second goal, they played like a team possessed. They chased every lost cause, defended their lives and were pretty impressive compared to OHL who could not get going, struggling to find a way through.

Suphenat looked composed on the ball, always looking to be positive always aware of others he could use. Misao looks pretty much the same way, always wanting to do the right thing, composed and positive in whatever he does. Maertens coming on as a sub needs to stop, as they need him to start, he seemed frustrated whilst on the pitch but he was playing in a team which was previously much better than they are now.

The players tried to the end, and never gave up, but this would have been for the new manager as well as the one that was taking his last game in charge.

Individually there is quality but there is no team in the pitch. The current coach kept using Brys' system but with higher pressing, but it was the same bullshit as we have witnessed the entire season so far.  We can't get in front of goal enough. And why do we play with 5 defenders against the last in the division? Let's hope Garcia is a miracle worker, cause we need a few miracles to get this group of players back on track. Garcia breathes confidence and professionalism so let's hope it brushes off onto the players.

1-0 down at home to bottom of the league. Not the best start for the new man

The new man starts on Monday, this game was prepared by the U23 coach who acted as caretaker manager. AS phugalu already said, the interim just kept Brys' system which is ok if you don't have the ball but doesn't work if the opponent leaves possession to you. Same idiotic subs as well, taking Misao off, bringing Suphanat on (who is nowhere near ready for first division football), leaving an invisible Maziz on the pitch for the entire game.

...not even going to think about that, We are not going to be down there at the end of the season!!!

We have had a bad season so far, and are still 2 points away from 10th.

I agree.

With this team, we don't belong in those relegation playoffs.

New assistent-manager! Manel Exposito has signed a 3-year deal with our club.

Exposito knows the Belgian league as he played 2 seasons for KAS Eupen (2013 until 2015) and was an assistent-manager for them for 6 years (2015 until 2021). In the summer of 2021 he joined Udinese as a performance coach.
