Steve Cooper on Sky last night. A couple of quotes I found interesting.

Cooper was asked if he was surprised by Leicester's demise since his exit. The club suffered back-to-back relegations to League One and currently sit just one point above the relegation zone.

Quote

"No if I'm being honest," he replied. "It was capable of going a certain way. I want to be a better man than saying many more things, but in the end having had the experiences that I have had in previous organisations in clubs, you really need good work ethic, effective leadership and real identity".

Quote

"You look at the training ground and how important them things are, I'm not quite sure at times, but it's about culture, work ethic and spirit before anything else."

A lot of people uttering the words "fair play" when it comes to that prat over the past 24 hours

I will absolutely not be "fair playing" the bloke who persuaded us to bring in Jordan Ayew and Oliver Skipp thanks!

Fair play to our worst premier league manager and a man who arrived for games with a notts forest air freshener hanging in his car. Not for me

Of all the ex managers who would have attended an exorcism with a Prime Minister, my money would have been on David Pleat  with Thatcher, so this one took me by surprise:

I'd have gone for Johnny Duncan with Clement Attlee.

Despite the fact he was useless and we were going backwards under him, Forest fans wrote the perfect narrative for him. We only didn't like him because of his Forest connections, he would have kept us up, we cut our nose off etc...

It's only natural for him to lean into that to cling onto some respectability even though he spent 10s of millions on absolute dossers.

Cooper can be both right about what he is saying and also be crap and part of the problem.

The fact that the club let him sign Ayew, BDR, Skipp and Okoli. Shows the issues as plain as day.
