Always good to see British coaches testing themselves abroad so fair play to him. Difficult to wish him luck while Bobby Reid still has two years on his contract and Skipp is here until 2029 but it'll be interesting to see how he fares

First derby home win for them since 2-1. False dawn or sign of things to come?

Brave choices
Steve Cooper had made brave choices in his debut as Brøndby coach.

He changed the system, put captain Daniel Wass on the bench and had left out the great talent Noah Nartey from his starting lineup.

And Henrik Hansen has apparently been stripped of responsibility for set pieces. It is now the new assistant, Alan Tate, who has been given that task.

Four significant choices as proof that Brøndby has gained a courageous coach who does not dwell on the past, but only thinks about how he can improve Brøndby in the future.

However, it was the guests from FC Copenhagen who got off to the best start, because the Brøndby players had difficulty getting used to the new four-back line.

Always a pleasure to read or see MON in the media, even if this is a rather Forest heavy article.

In a one off game that we had to win, a cup final or a game to avoid relegation, I'd still take O'Neill in his prime over any other manager we've had.

I'm not saying this for effect but I kind of have Puel levels of indifference towards the guy already. In 20 years time we'll barely even remember he was a manager here.

Speaking of Puel, where in the world is Claude?

Last managerial role was four years ago, when he was sacked at Saint-Etienne.

Never forget Newport County away...

The Saint-Etienne experience seemed pretty horrific, I think he's fully stepped back now, does a lot of Ligue 1 tv in France and is looking VERY well so probably enjoying life.

Still think he'd make a team a very good head scout/DOF

Former Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is second-favourite to return to Swansea following the dismissal of Alan Sheehan.

May be an image of American football, football and text that says "RUICHAN'S CHARLES 16 FOOTBALL MONTHLY OCTOBER 1953 No. No.26 26 MATT MATTGILLIES GILLIES Leicester City Special Articles by JOHN CHARLES and TED FENTON Pictures in Full Colour of JACK ROWLEY and JIMMY JIMMYJONES JONES ."

Matt Gillies, not only a great manager, but also a great former player. After taking over as manager in 1958, he steered the team to not only the higher echelons of the top flight, but also FA Cup finals and ultimately silverware in the League Cup.
Read all about this in my new book covering the cub between 1953 and 1972. follow the link: https://tinyurl.com/4dxar9ch

RVN got himself a gig as a coach for the Dutch national side under Koeman & straight into a World Cup.

The dutch are very good at hiring people who add nothing. I was following the quotes of his announcement, Nigel De Jong is the national sporting director. Just seems they hand out every role possible to ex players.
