Thought the same, Southgate announcing hes stepping down after euros and hayes announcing shes stepping down chelsea after season ends... coincidence possibly. But then again would we have heard more like Fa approaching Chelsea etc to speak to Hayes..

A woman won’t be appointed manager of the England men’s team without a track record of success (however that might be measured) in men’s club football.  She’d be on a hiding to nothing and would never be put in that position.

Hayes is definitely going to USA women.

The Spanish women are going to have a run like their men did from 2008 to 2012.

Last 3 Ballon d'or winners and a 3rd place finish for a 19 year old this year.

That 19 year old(Salma Paralluelo) has 4 goals in the first half for Barcelona today.

Biggest job in womens football, fair play to her.

I had no idea it was that big.

l know women’s football is very popular over there though.

They're probably a couple years away but watch out for Roma as the team to be chasing Barcelona eventually, building a good squad, primed to dominate Serie A for a few years and a 2-2 away to Bayern + 3-0 win against Ajax (who beat PSG 2-0 the week before) is quite the marker in the Champions League

Tragic news about the Sheffield United player Maddy Cusack 27 no age. Cant see any news on the reason yet? Was she known to be ill.

Interesting article on the BBC News. Of course could all be coincidental but it seems the implication is there pointing out the timing. (First couple of lines from Wiki).

Fantastic 2nd half comeback from the Lionesses. My lad is there with his school and having a good time.

We both predicted a crowd of around 45k but were miles off. 72k is a great attendance tbf

Shame it isn't on TV here.

Ah that’s a bit rubbish isn’t it. Bit scrappy so far but hopefully a few more goals will come
