hmm tough one. He is currently our best CM, and by some margin compared to Soumare, Skipp and Hamza.

He has changed the games from the bench both times and looked as good as he did under Maresca in these two appearances.

However, he is on a mega sulk right now and that is with a new Manager reset too. I imagine his agent is pushing to get him a move.

But, we aren't going to get much money for him and he should be the last CM we sell out of the current lot we have.

Marti needs to earn his stripes and get him out of this childish sulk, start him at the weekend and hopefully all is well again.

If Marti can't do that, then I don't think I want someone here who has a strong dislike for the club and/or fans, that he can't get over.

We would have to roll the dice, ship out Winks, Soumare and Skipp... which is a big job! But don't see much alternative, unless we want a midtable finish at best.

He’s obviously home sick for Surrey. To be honest I’m not really sure how you can play for a city and not be invested in living there, why would you care. It might work for a few but seemingly not him. He’s still by far the best midfielder we have which is somewhat unfortunate

Doesn't he live in Herts?

I find it fascinating a number of our players have seemingly turned against the fans.  Remarkable considering the KP has been a happy-clapping hotbed of toxic 'support the lads' positivity for the past few years.  Regardless of the absolute shit they and the club have served up for the past few years.

Something too think about maybe?

People are quick to forget Vardy and Drinkwater were like this about the fans at one point too. Cupping ears, chip on their shoulder. Wives mouthing off online.

It's always fake anyway when any professionals make out they care about the fans. Easy to say when things are going well too.

But combined with the club showing absolutely no interaction with us, it's even worse to have the likes of Faes and Winks so openly showing their disdain. Been an absolute mess for years this club and it's showing no signs of improvement.

Would rather have a miserable Winks than Soumare and Skipp.

As long as he maintains the attitude that he has a point to prove. The worry is when the window closes he becomes a expensive luxury player if he doesn’t perform

**** knows all soft southern land though, basically the same, I thought he was South of London, could be wrong.

'Basically the same' isn't really the same when you're talking about commute time though. Big difference.

He wasn’t contracted to stay overnight.

Doesnt matter how much more he earns per week than some of you do. So you work additional anti social hours because your boss demands it, that’s unfortunate, join a union, stand up for your rights but don’t moan because somebody else has the balls it say **** you to the worst manager we’ve ever had.

The clues in Marti title, he needs to manage the situation and get a grip of this  squad and its characters.

Higher standards of behaviour are need.

He’s from Hemel Hempstead whether he still lives there I doubt it

Well best way to shut the fans up is consistently deliver and win, if you are good enough and still hate them you can then move elsewhere. What’s an issue is when players don’t put in the commitment, quality and effort to back up their bravado.

If Winks come in knuckles down and commands the midfield, he can be as ****ing miserable as he likes if he is delivering. It’s a bit entitled to think you can be in one of our worst ever squads and expect to be backed.

Leicester fans will back players who give their all even if they are a bit shit. What we are not about if 50% players who don’t deliver.

What's that got to do with him being a miserable, arrogant little cvnt tonight? Was Ruud in the dugout?

What precisely did you see him do to come to that conclusion?

I know it is a lot lot lot more likely to be down to what happened with Ruud etc. but can you imagine being him and 2 games in a row you have had to watch Soumare and Skipp start ahead of you?

I am pissed off they are managing to play ahead of me

It’s not really that easy though is it. You are at work, you have a kid, your boss says work away for a week, you aren’t a millionaire are you really going to risk your job? Take employers to court etc…no because you aren’t an entitled bellend. You do what you have to do to survive and provide. Footballers will never understand that. Would I have loved to have been home everyday off course but I would also have had to quit work as the job that needed doing was away from home, much like when you play for Leicester city it’s reasonable to expect to spend sometime in errrr Leicester.

So you had to work, doesn’t mean everyone w else has to. If my wife had just given birth there is no way that I’d be staying overnight at work because some knob of a boss demanded that I did. Even less chance that I would if I was earning what Winks is, I’m not holding it against him and I’m certainly not going to have a meltdown and demand that one of our best player ****s off to the detriment of the club.

Well articulated. 👍. And there is one of the issues. Fans expect players to be exclusively focussed on their professional role as footballers. Yet expect those same players to respect that the fans are  giving up on their life outside of football to support their team. Perspective is required. Many of our supporters for have any. We all lose it from time to time with inept displays. Myself definitely included. But some never show anything other than hatred and intolerance. It’s ridiculous.

I think the fans have perspective, it’s the players that don’t. They live in a bubble.

You can’t expect to live an abnormally privileged life and treated like a normal person. It doesn’t work like that. He refuses to engage with the community he represents and that might also be seen as him not reinvesting into the local economy.

He might be able to get away with that if he was so brilliant that he raises the profile of the club, but he isn’t. Football is about pride primarily.

Footballers get everything from society and give little back. If anything they should be far less popular than they are.

Nobody says he shouldn’t have a personal life, but it’s not like he’s mingling with the locals at the pub like Walshie and Izzet is it? His personal life is living lavishly in a mansion down south. He’s entitled to do that, but why should people love him for it?
