City were linked with a move for the 20-year-old when they were in the Premier League, but Huddersfield are now ready to sell their young prospect. He has already made 14 appearances in the Championship this season, having featured 20 times for the Terriers last term. The Mali under-23 international joined Huddersfield from AC Boulogne-Billancourt in 2019, and is highly regarded at the Yorkshire club. He has attracted interest from a host of clubs and looks certain to move on next month. According to journalist Alan Nixon, Leicester could make an offer for the midfielder next month. City failed in their attempts to sign a midfielder on deadline day in the summer, but it could now be second time lucky for Enzo "Huddersfield will cash in on midfielder Brahima Diarra in the window - with Championship interest," Nixon wrote on Patreon. "Diarra was linked with Leicester City when they were in the Premier League and they may return with an offer. "Terriers will sell Diarra rather than let his deal run down. Darren Moore is hoping for some early arrivals with his transfer team working on a surprise foreign capture."

If he ever had a source at Leicester, he lost it a while ago. I hadn't actually heard of him (I don't read much football gossip if I'm honest) before the Madueke farce. But ever since then he's had two or three Leicester tips per window and they've all been nowhere vaguely close. Like blatantly not even players we've looked at.

Maybe his job now is to throw people off the scent of our actual business

Lambert09 Posted 11 December 2023 Posted 11 December 2023 You know Nixon is a terrible journalist because asked about any club he always pretends to know something. You can’t know everything about everyone pal! Just talks to stay relevant but his hit record is poor even for a tabloid journalist
MPH Posted 11 December 2023 Posted 11 December 2023 (edited) Sadly he's just plucking a story out of his arse as the key words are that we " may return with an offer". In other words, we bid in the summer so he's assuming we will bid again. Edited 11 December 2023 by MPH
Langston Posted 11 December 2023 Posted 11 December 2023 Might not be the same journo (doesn't really answer any Nixon doubt if not) but weren't the Mirror the first on Cambiasso?

davieG Posted 27 July 2024 Author Posted 27 July 2024 https://sportwitness.co.uk/leicester-leeds-hull-city-appreciate-free-agent-player-make-decision-olympics/ Leicester, Leeds and Hull City ‘appreciate’ free agent – Player to make decision after Olympics By Naveen Ullal -27th July 2024 SHARE Leicester City, Leeds United, Hull City and Burnley are all in the picture to sign Brahima Diarra this summer, according to Foot Mercato. The 21-year-old hasn’t made an appearance since he featured for Huddersfield Town against Watford in February. His game time was limited last season as he was restricted to 719 minutes from 23 games. Diarra has been without a club since his deal with the Terriers expired at the end of last month. It’s claimed the Mali U23 international’s status as a free agent has been ‘appreciated’ by Leicester, Leeds, Hull City, Burnley and Chievo Verona. As well as the Foxes and the Championship trio, teams from Belgium’s top flight, a top Serie A side and two Ligue 1 sides are also chasing the midfielder. Diarra is currently in Paris, representing his country at the Olympics. He already featured in Mali’s 1-1 draw against Israel earlier this week and Foot Mercato say the player was able to ‘showcase his qualities’. The midfielder’s aim is to impress at the Olympics and then make a decision on his next destination. Leicester, Leeds, Hull City, Burnley and other interested parties would have to wait until Mali finish their campaign in Paris to find out about Diarra’s decision.

As he’s free may as well get this done now. He’s versatile enough to cover all midfield positions. 1
