Hi all,

Ā

I've been looking at Fox Membership for my lad (14) as there's no way we'll be likely to get a season ticket anytime soon (only on 6 home priority points :()Ā is it worth getting is my first question? my second is, would it be better if I brought it for myself as well in regards to getting more opportunities to go to games with him or does just one person on a linked account need it? and final question is, do the memberships run season to season, so is it better to wait till end of this season now before purchasing?

Ā

Thanks in advance for everyone's advice on this.

That’s the only way he’s gonna stand a chance of getting a season ticket, is to buy a membership. That’s the waiting list.Ā
Ā

Memberships run from season to season. £32 adult, £16 juvenile.
Ā

Fox members can buy tickets for guests but if you get one for yourself you’re pretty much guaranteed a ticket for every home game.Ā

Like Bert said its the only way to accrue points to get an ST.

Had one for a few years now for my 15 year old and she now has 22 points which might give her a chance next season.

Yes, I got one for my lad last season and he got a season ticket for this, he did have a few more points however as previously I was using my season ticket to by him match tickets (he had a booking history from being a member a few years back) Think he had about 34 points by the end of the season and 33 got you a season ticket in the ballot.Ā

My lad is also 14 and I bought him and me a membership for Christmas (£32 + £16)

Ā

His membership is linked to my account and we both have separate membership numbers and e-mail addresses. I got us both tickets in SK1 for the Rotherham and Huddersfield games which were e-mailed straight to our phones and was pretty straight forward.

Ā

I begrudge paying for the membership half way through the season to then again in May, but at least we're on the list now and accruing points.

Ā

It's a four hour round trip for us to home games and it's an expensive day out (SK1 tickets were £39 for me + £19 for him + £1.50 booking fee) but he enjoyed both games at the back of the singing section.

If you're looking for him to attend on a regular basis it's worth getting him one as most games seem to be membership only now.

I can't remember what the annual bonus points are for renewing membership but it's the quickest way to build up enough for a season ticket.Ā  Assuming we go back up this season it's probably going to be 35-40 points cut off for Season Ticket ballot and I reckon all games will be members only next season.

Doesn’t matter how many membership points you have, my brother and nephew got a season ticket for this season and my brother had 0 points.Ā
Ā

The problem is going to be, with us looking likely to come up there won’t be many giving their seats up.Ā

Took us the best part of 3 seasons to get enough points to get a ST while in the Prem, attending all the games in which seats became available to Members.Ā

Ā

It's the only way to get match tickets and the only way to get a ST going forward

If the main purpose for getting the membership is to get a season ticket, then get a membership this season, so you get the 10 extra points for renewal next season.

Ā

If it's just to attend games, one membership + a guest ticket will probably suffice this season for all games. Next season however, you'll likely need one membership per person who wants to go.Ā

I've gone a head a brought them for the same reason as you really. When do they activate as just looking at the Ipswich game and it says Fox Members can buy from 29th December but its still saying coming soon on my account?

It should activate straight away. As soon as you've compelted payment they'll send an e-mail with your membership nmbers.

Ā

As brucey says above, just log in to your account top right and you should be fine.

Ā

I've just checked mine and there's a few pairs of seats available in SK4 and also the East Stand

Yeah I’m fully aware…. It’s a ballot isn’t it. Doesn’t matter what points you’re on, and this has been proven.Ā

Absolute fact. Doesn’t work or know anyone involved at the club. Last game he went before this season was QPR 5-1….Ā

Nope, otherwise what’s the point of having points in the first place. Not having it.

No offence or anything, but you also told us you had a mate who knew BR was being fired that very evening and the poisonous little dwarf stayed for months longer. I believe you like to make up stories.

Definitely based upon home priority points for members to get season tickets...Ā

FOX MEMBER APPLICATIONS FOR AVAILABLE SEASON TICKETS

The Season Ticket renewal period will close on Wednesday 14 June. Any remaining Season Ticket provision will be made available to 2022/23 Fox Members via an application system that will prioritise entrants with the most Home Priority Points.

Believe what you want! I couldn’t really care less and don’t really take offence to anything 😃 Not achieving anything by ā€œmaking up storiesā€ on an internet forum at 36 years of age am I lolĀ
