We are all fans

 We all have different expectations

The one common theme is lcfc for 90 mins.

I have no problem with a singing section. Only when as mentioned before elitism starts to become the theme.

If the club decide to relocate the singing section then that's their right.

We live in a democracy so if it went to a St vote would the singing section get their preffered location I think not.

If I had to relocate as long as i got a seat in the top row of the kop i would reluctantly move.

All I would say is I agree that a vote would not go well for those of us who want a section in the middle of the kop. However, I think a lot of fans don't consider what might be best for the club. Would the vote of fans against it change if it meant that players would get constant backing and perform at a higher level. I think that there might be more of a need for it than a want for fans to say where they are. Although being a season ticket holder for the first time this year, maybe I do not understand the sentimental value of 'your seat'

I feel like it would do well in a vote, as long as people knew who may be impacted beforehand. There would be more people in the stadium (who aren't effected) that support or abstain from the vote than there would be who rejected it.

Worth mentioning the singing section was introduced after a season ticket holder survey.

I voted for it.

I don’t think that’s a common theme as for some it’s 85 minutes
The singing section is about as elitist as De Montfort University, they are clearly very welcoming to everybody. It’s only in other heads it is not.

Generous.

Extra space is being created by extending the stadium. Problem over

Although currently poorly represented in SK1 by comparison, if the SS believe they can muster up a bigger following offer them first refusal

Evicting more friends and families to force occupy more sections of the ground  is not a good look

i await flask, slippers, old farts, should not  be allowed in etc comments with baited breath

Thanks 🦊

In 5-10 years time?

By comparison with what?

Using emotional language like 'evicting' when discussing an interchangeable piece of blue plastic gets us nowhere.

You can't be evicted from a piece of plastic you don't own.

People shouldn't be going the football to catch up with family and friends.  You go the the match to support and watch the football.

However if people like this insist on still going out of habit please move to the West Stand where there are thousands of others like you.

Remember it's just a piece of plastic, you don't own the seat or have rights over it forever.

Its easy unless people have a valid reason to leave not including to 'beat the traffic' unless they live miles away, they should instantly have their ticket removed and given to a memeber of the singing section! Give them extra punishment if they live in the city and drive and SUV.

Not even if you live far- I travel to midweek games from Essex and often get home at half 12. Not that difficult to wait another 10 mins

Imo the club need more vocal supporters. Even Enzo’s saying it. I don’t really think that can be argued against??

I don’t get where this whole “elitist” thing comes in or what it really means tbh?

You'd start out in the family stand, end up in the pens as a virile youth and eventually make your way into a more placid stand later on. That's not the case at the KP and the lack of fresh STHs only exacerbates the problem.

Aside from portions of SK1, L1 and the away end you have essentially the whole ground to choose to sit. Probably 27,000 seats, if you want to stand there's a few thousand at most. If you want to sit you\re spoilt for choice.

In an ideal world the standers migrate to the Kop and the current sitters move out. A standing Kop is a time-honoured tradition of English football and our ground move killed it.

If the club aren't willing to continue to move people then our atmosphere won't improve drastically. Waiting for a stadium expansion which is a rolling 'few years away' isn't a silver bullet for a better atmosphere.

For what I've gathered there was a natural progression at Filbert St. You'd start out in the family stand, end up in the pens as a virile youth and eventually make your way into a more placid stand later on. That's not the case at the KP and the lack of fresh STHs only exacerbates the problem.

'You'd start out in the family stand, end up in the pens as a virile youth and eventually make your way into a more placid stand later on'.   So true I started in pen 4 and worked my way into pen 2 which was full of nutters, but great fun when we scored :D

Speaking as a ST holder for many years, the piece of plastic I sit on for has become a part my chosen routine. Like all on here, I've experienced the ups & downs over the past couple of decades at the KP from that piece of plastic.

Not only that but the fans that sit alongside/in front/behind me have good camaraderie & some have become good friends & I wouldn't be too happy if asked to be moved to the West Stand for example.

Why can't you catch up with friends and family and watch the match? That's a very bigoted view. I've been in my current seat for 18 years probably longer than a lot of the singing section have been coming to football. I enjoy the view, the banter with those around me. Why can't I think that's my seat.

My St auto renews by the club, guess what it's the same seat everytime.

Put the singing section in the West stand under the corporate boxes:scarf:

Its in the center. It needs some noise there.
