Played well last night and was unlucky not to make it 5-3! He is like that kid at school who looks electric with the ball at his feet in the playground or in 5 aside but put him in an 11 aside game and he is lost!

By far our best player on Wednesday night imo.

i don’t think he’s lazy/disinterested, I just think he struggles to pick up the pace of the game when he comes on as a sub. I would be inclined to give him a run of games as a starter to see how he does. Would be a good option in a midfield 3 in tougher games as is a lot more box to box than our other midfielders

Never been given a chance in our side or by our fans as he’s an easier target than the guys who actually cost us in the prem… young player talent is there, has a languid style which puts off the ‘Enzo needs to be more direct’ ‘Coops wants it route one’ crowd. He is a decent decent player and has always been, think our current style suits him as well as any has. He could be a difference maker for us this year if we give it a go, him Skipp Winks and Ndidi are 4 distinctly different midfielders which give us really good variety when we need. Our problem is half our back 4 are semi functional on a human level and our only striker lasts 60 mins

He does this though. He comes back for a game, is the best player and fools people into believing he’s turned a corner. Wanted to leave as soon as we went down, **** him

Oh for sure..

Publicly wanted to stay when we were in the premier League and asked to leave when we weren't.

Can't square the circle personally.

Started 20 league games in our relegation season and then didn't want to stay once we were in the championship

Saw plenty enough of him in that relegation season to not suddenly think he is going to be the answer to any issue we have with our team because for whatever reason he can't turn any good performances into consistent ones

He starts twenty of that season. No. You kidding me?

Some of his performances that season stank the place out.

Every performance bar Wednesday has.

I can't believe he started twenty games in the relegation season though. Tell me he didn't.

7 months out with the April Fools joke brother but good try!

He was pretty crap on Wednesday. He has absolutely no tactical discipline which is partly why they were able to just pass straight through the middle. And I'm saying that as somebody who probably doesn't hate him as much as lots on here.

Got plenty of talent but without the discipline, application and importantly, the ability to actually affect games, he's an absolute waste.

This 100%

Bouba getting praised when played in a team that conceded 5 when one of 2 CM’s gives me PTSD when some were faffing over Faes’ debut that saw us ship 6 against Spurs.

Bouba’s lack of tactical awareness and overall lack of application is a big no for me.

I’m no admirer of Soumare, but at least acknowledge when he had a good game. I’d go as far as saying I’d give him some starts in the league if he plays like he did on Wednesday night.

So we're just going to ignore how often he was miles out of position and basically left Skipp to do everything on his own (who hardly covered himself in glory either).

El-Khannouss was a cut above everyone else

He's had 48 chances.

If he's such a 'decent, decent player' where is the queue of clubs willing to take him off our hands?  We can't give him away.
