mystified.  He put a shift in, but really really did not life his head to put a decent forward pass.  There was one where all he had to do was pass into the space and Monga was through.  He decided to do a Andy King and pass it backwards.

Yep best I’ve seen them play together. Point in the first half when they both ran back and double tackled one of their players. Soumare looked quite dominant at times. Now to see that consistently.

For all your pics, he was having his name sung a fair bit all night. At one point he had 5 men round him and still came away with the ball. I've been his biggest critic but if he does well I'll say so. Still not having it with Soumare though

The frustrating thing is that the lad has all of the credentials to be an absolute top class player and potentially be too good for us. 

 

It seems to be a conscious decision on his behalf to only give 70 / 80% max most the time. 

 

He was excellent last night but will he turn up against Oxford?

His bar is so low and we have been served up so much shite, a so so performance against a newly promoted side is class..  
 

He was better in the 1st half but the second he powered down his brain.  Many times he keeps playing that stupid pass back in between JV and Thomas that makes them back track and pull out of position. It allowed the press and ends up with the keeper kicking it back to them.

You do realise that a lot of the backwards passes are instructions as the way we play don’t you?

FM he looks totally different - m not sure if I’ve ever seen him smile before. Faes looks the part as well.
