Lesta2014 Posted 6 May 2024 Posted 6 May 2024 Looking forward to this already. Hope to see lots of videos like last year of them training hard a clearly getting on well like last summer. any idea when they are back for pre season? any rumoured friendlies yet too? hopefully a few new signings to get excited about too and hoping players with full pre seasons with us be even better, cannon mavididi, Abdul and yunus if they sign permanently. Coady for an injury free pre season too. 2
VLC86 Posted 6 May 2024 Posted 6 May 2024 (edited) Jumping the gun a bit for a club that has barely had contract discussions with loads of out of contract players. Edited 6 May 2024 by Costock_Fox 1
Popular Post Chelmofox Posted 6 May 2024 Popular Post Posted 6 May 2024 Ha ha - getting in there early! I for one can't wait for the forum meltdown when the first picture of Soumare's beaming smile hits the LCFC twitter account in his first days return at Seagrave. And then to find out that he only features at the beginning of the bleep test video. 9
RowlattsFox Posted 6 May 2024 Posted 6 May 2024 We will be in Thailand during monsoon season again, but at least there should be longer between that and the first game. interesting to see when we return because it's a long break for the automatic promoted teams. Do they come back early like Burnley did or have a an extended break.
Popular Post StanSP Posted 6 May 2024 Popular Post Posted 6 May 2024 I don't mind if we go to Thailand but just give the players enough time to actually prepare for the season. Do it early on. Then come back and have some proper friendlies. 7

I’m guessing first or second week of July? When are the premier leagues first round of fixtures?

There is a good player with a solid shot on him, but he's pretty weak and its going to be even tougher next season.

Much like our style of play. We won’t be facing low blocks for 75% of the games we play in next season. 2
Corky Posted 6 May 2024 Posted 6 May 2024 Let's have a proper home friendly on the Saturday before the season. No kickabouts at the training ground, give fans a chance to watch their team against a different opponent. 3

No kickabouts at the training ground, give fans a chance to watch their team against a different opponent. A few years back i visited a mate who lives in Rotterdam. I didn't realise when organising it but Sparta were playing Ghent in a preseason friendly. You could just turn up on the day and sit in any free seat you liked, all for free with beers. For a preseason game, it was a pretty decent game. Wish we would do something like this. 2
Jordan Posted 6 May 2024 Posted 6 May 2024 Crafton from The Athletic reported City agreed to a mini preseason tour in the US with other Prem clubs but we dropped out: https://theathletic.com/5464783/2024/05/02/palace-west-ham-wolves-us-tour/?source=user_shared_article 1 1
Gamble92 Posted 6 May 2024 Posted 6 May 2024 I think the start of Enzo realising exactly what those above him were like was when we went to Thailand last pre season. The hilarious thing is, it is even working. The laughable attempts at flogging that Thai clothing range by putting it on all the players as they walked out and playing to about 200 people in monsoon season. Way to go Top 3
