Can you remember Akinkunmi Amoo who we were linked with a few years ago? Went to Copenhagen for €4m. He got released after a year and has then left his next club and doesn't play for anyone at the minute. Crazy.

With us probably needing 3-4 centre mids a player as cheap as this makes sense, surely we could get him onto a relatively small contract as well (In comes Rudkin with £75k a week for 5 years)

Whenever I think a player looks wank they end up being great for us… and my read is that he looks bang average playing in a league that’s very forgiving to his poor touch and skills

I am far from convinced that Cooper will have complete control over transfers, i am sure he will have an input and influence but I very much doubt he will come into the club and be given a free reign in terms of recruitment.

We're a prem club, so prices will be upped and wage demands increased from other sides

We aren't going to completely change our recruitment policy for Steve Cooper. I can see why we might want to add some experience but a good chunk of the new recruits will be with the goal of adding squad value. We have very few sellable assets and that has to change.
