Ponticelli Leaving is a massive loss to the Yeltz.

…and quite a boost to our title aspirations.

The best Twitter for midlands non league has spoken

Quorn whacked Rugby 6-0 on Saturday.

Alongside Ramsgate, they are the only two clubs unbeaten in the top eight tiers of English football (in the league).

Yep Quorn now the only team unbeaten in the top eight tiers of English footy.

Corby gone to shit.

Went St Neots v Aylestone Park, home side won 3-2. Great little modern ground. St Neots now top but looks like it’s going to be a good title race between those two and Rugby Borough

Thought we were going to score with ever first half attack. Thought we were going to concede with every one in the second half. Still, three points closer to promotion.

Went St Neots with Hinckley as a train day, disappointed with the town as a pub crawl but super impressed with the ground. Can’t be understated what a bit of concrete and a three step terrace behind the goal can do for atmosphere, easily one of my favourite grounds I’ve been to with Hinckley. As you say the perfect example of a modern non-league ground.

What league are aylestone in compared to Corby and Harborough? Confuses me all this lot 😁

They’re in the United Counties League Premier South, which is one level below Northern Premier League Midlands Division (Corby) and two below Southern League Premier Central (Harborough).

In terms of the Non-League Pyramid, first you have the National League (step 1) and then the National League North & South (step 2). Below that the Northern Premier League, Southern League and Isthmian League collectively make up what’s known as ‘the trident leagues’, each of them have multiple ‘first’ (step 3) and ‘second’ (step 4) divisions which are split broadly  in regions. Below that you then have a dozen or so regional leagues, for example the Midland Football League (which is currently mostly the central and northern parts of the West Midlands region and Leicestershire) and United Counties League (which is Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, the South Midlands and a couple Leicestershire teams), they also have their own first (step 5) and second (step 6) divisions.

Beyond that you get into your county leagues like the Leicestershire Senior League.

Enjoyed Loughborough Students dispatching Corby yesterday.

Corby arrived with the usual visitors' approach of trying to bully the Scholars off the ball, but couldn't cope when Loughborough's youngsters got to grips with them and went up a gear.

I can't get very interested in Loughborough Dynamo any more since the voluntary (and controversial) relegation, but the Students are capable of some good passing football and seem well drilled by ex-Foxes 'favourite' Jamie Clapham.

Got a double weekend in Leicester, Birstall United v Boro then of course foxes on Sunday. Even the gf is letting me stay over in Counthesthorpe... mind think me bringing over christmas presents may have summit to do with it lol. Fancy dress at Birstall Utd for the pre christmas fixture, so expect to see a few santa's and elfs around Leicester on saturday.

Finally got my money back off Banbury, so reluctantly I’m taking them off the naughty list.

They have been replaced by Harborough Town and Leics Constabulary for making our Boxing Day game all-ticket and limiting us to 400.

So the 23rd will see hundreds more cramming into our clubhouse in an effort to secure entry. Just potty. I don’t recall any trouble between Harbs and Kettering - and conflating us with Corby is just plain damn insulting.

Big game tonight for Harborough,

Won 3-2. Much needed. Alvechurch is another big game on Saturday too.

Heard you lot aren't happy with 400 allocation.

No game for the foxes, so maybe tempted with this.

All ticket because City aren’t playing. As if the Baby Squad are coming down to Harbs to fight Kettering Leicester fans? It’s bollocks. Reckon there’ll be a fair few hundred away fans buying in the home ends if you ask me.

A while back against Corby it was carnage outside. Got all the young lads who are "well up for it " but have never thrown a punch in their lives 😭

Anything over a 1k crowd will be tickets at harborough. Main reason if Kettering bring say 800 and we have as many then massive probs with too many people in the ground .

Funny though because usually it's the 350 regulars like me and no tickets.
