Shaw, Maddison and Rashford shouldn't be anywhere near this squad.

Past time to start taking players on form. Eze should walk into the final 26.

I wouldn't be against Eze coming in for Rashford at all but I think GS will want someone that can play more than one position and he's one that can do that. Shaw I'm not happy with either but when fit he is our best LB, just hasn't played enough this season but will be good cover for BC. Maddison I think should be in, he's had a poor end to the season but I think he'd raise his game for England.

I would take Rashford, bit of a wildcard maybe but I think he offers an ability to play from the left that no-one else does, directness and has history of making things happen for England.

Rice, Mainoo and Bellinghmam should be the midfield 3.

Too negative Gareth Jon.

Should be Rice - Foden - Bellingham

With either Palmer or Gordon off the left.

In that formation you waste Rice as the holding midfielder, he is WAY better than that.

Rumours are no Henderson in the training squad.

Completely forgot about Mainoo myself, has to go.

Someone has to do the less glamorous work. Claude Makelele and Didier Deschamps are recognised as two of the best midfielders of all time.

Would you want Rice going forward at the expense of Foden and Bellingham?

Interesting the BBC has more or less confirmed 11 players so far GK's Trafford and Henderson, then Guehi, Cowill, Branthwaite, Quansah, Wharton, Eze, Bowen, Jones and Toney. That's 11 our of an apparent initial 30 which leaves about 19 spaces left. I feel a big name is going to miss out, I'm guessing Rashford and/or Maddison.

If Rice plays well we win.  I don't think you can say the same about Foden.

This is quite possibly one of the top five, all time, worst takes on this forum.

I would play Foden on the left of the front 3 as it goes, but I think Rice and Bellingham need a defensive midfielder behind to get the best out of them.

I'm all for extreme progression. But Quansah was playing averagely for Bristol Rovers on league 1 last season...

Declan Rice is a strong candidate for one of the most over rated players of his generation.

Jude Bellingham is the actual player cockneys think Rice is.

Have you watched Foden this season?

If GS doesn't play Foden and Bellingham central with Rice behind, then he needs sacking. Rice has done well for Arsenal there this season but not to the same level plus he has always done well for England in behind. Simple.

I'm sure it is pure chance Arsenal were 2 points off a title this season!  Bellingham is unbelievable though.  Incredible first season on the biggest stage of all.  No one is suggesting he should play a holding role though.  I am sure he could with both hands tied behind his back and one eye taped shut.

No not really, sounds like it has been his best season by far though.  So why not play him on the left up front?  Is Palmer better?  Is Foden really better than Bellingham or Rice in the middle for England?

Foden has been amazing, and he’s played primarily as a 10. He doesn’t need to be better than the other 2 when all 3 should be playing there. They’re all different players and it’d be criminal if they’re all not starting central.

I didn't realise Declan Rice had been playing on his own, my apologies, that's pretty impressive lol
