Just been trying to write down my 26 and there are so many attacking midfield options  and quite short on midfielders, I'd actually still take Henderson for a bit of balance to the squad. It's going to be very top heavy as Southgate just takes them all.

 

Genuinely can't decide on centre backs.

Harvey Elliot should be ahead of Curtis Jones too. Would balance the other attacking midfielders quite well. Not that either will go in the end.

I think he's quite underrated actually. Chelsea have played much better second half of the season and it's coincided with his good form.

 

Don't think he's a starter but he could come in for Bellingham or Foden and play alongside Rice a little further back.

Decent squad.

 

Bit surprised he hasn't called up Mitchell of Palace or Lewis Hall as we have no fit LBs. Might have been an idea to look at one or both of them in the upcoming friendlies. Not having a natural left back in the absence of Shaw looks a big gamble for me and an obvious area of weakness for opposition teams to exploit.

I didn't see the point of him at first but I'd agree. He's been brilliant any time I've seen him in the last few months. Definitely an option in that role beside Rice if he decides that Bellingham and Foden play 10 and 11.

Made good calls with Rashford and Henderson. But defence looks a bit weak to me. Southgate has had countless opportunities to experiment in friendlies as well but feels a bit naive to throw some of them in now.

 

Also Butland should have gone over the other 2 backup keepers having played regularly and in pretty decent form

33 players is ridiculous. Mid-season friendlies are the time to give players a look not right before the tournament. France have announced their 25.

 

Why bother with busted flushes like Henderson only not to call them up when it matters.
