Apparently Newcastle had a £70m bid for Guehi rejected. He had a good Euros but not a fvkcing chance he's worth that, think Newcastle have dodged a bullet if they move their interest elsewhere.

Disgusting money for decent but not amazing players

Remember when everyone said Blackburn want £20m+?

Edwards going to Southampton earlier in the window for £3m too.

I genuinely believe we wasted so much energy with our supposed targets when the EFL was the market worth targeting.

edwards might have gone for £3mil but alot of add ons and a meaty sell on fee as well

so its not all rainbows on that deal

im with you tho, we dont look at the championship or lower enough

Our rivals keep on strengthening

Meanwhile we buy Ayew

Looks like we’re struggling with even that

Great, let's buy him then and settle for bang average.

I'd take bang average over below average which we seem to have settled for so far.

even bournemouth get deals done quicker than us, yeah we are a ****ing shambles

Afc fkin Bournemouth buying champions league strikers from FC Porto for 40m+ says everything you need to know about what’s wrong with modern football

Would all the add ons be more than what we would for an unknown Okoli though?

I just have zero faith in anyone important at the club.

Didn't we resent other fans for having this kind of attitude when we were doing well?

Agree with you to an extent but I think this underlines how atrociously run we are. Bournemouth are, in effect, a League 1 side in terms of infrastructure/fanbase etc. and they have just signed a player for more money than we ever have whilst having an absolute fraction of the success we had. That shows just how awful our commercial team was in raising money and how mental the wages must have been. Our net spend over the time in the PL was absolute peanuts compared to some.

As time goes on, I'm actually getting impressed that we managed to break FFP/PSR

Who already trained with the Italian full squad, hardly unknown.

Good shout to be fair mate but maybe should have phrased it as it is a bigger gamble for how he settles/adapts to English football.

Appreciate the correction though bud.

Hold on mate

In 23-24 our net spend was nearly 70 million

And weve never spent more than we have sold except the season  we won the Premier League

We pioneered the sell to buy model used by bournmeth brighton and many others

If you get a minute listen to the radio Leicester podcast when we signed him.

They had a Italian journalist on to talk about him, I think he's going to be a slow burner like Soyuncu who was here for a while before breaking into the first 11.
