Seems to do a lot for Arsenal from memory.

Quick search on Twitter where Ornstein has mentioned Leicester (ignore the actual tweeter, but they've referenced Ornstein)

So not regular, but definitely gets the odd piece here and there.

''Soumare is one of the most talented players I have ever played with''

Has anyone checked on the guy that said that.

Create a thread purely to key items of news.

First 2 pages is utter guff (I'm part of the problem I know!).

Can we limit who can post?

It would be a useful exercise for somebody who has a bit of time ok their hands to trudge back through Transfer Talk and see who first broke the news of all of our confirmed signings / outgoings for the last few years.

only as good as their last post. just leave it as it is. we don't have to moderate everything, read it or don't or just scan through for a tweet and make your own mind up

Which tier would "my mate down at the pub heard a rumour from a friend of a friend" be?

One above Alan Nixon.

Good idea, I only pop in here on occasion to see if there is anything new.

By the way how come your name isn't orange Finners, like Corky? Do they have special mod VIP access?

Corky is a proper mod, I'm just a poser.

Mark has just given me some limited permissions to tidy up Transfer Talk because I moaned at him that it's a mess. Mainly because there's been fifteen threads in one day about Jordan Ayew signing which he definitely isn't.

Tom Collomese should probably be quite high up, even if he does just rehash Percy a bit.

I personally think Di Marzio and Schira are pretty awful, they’ve been crap over the years.

The bloke from Talksport is pretty good, forget his name… think he mainly covers Southampton - not Geoff Peters, who should obviously also be quite high up.

I also think a lot of you give Nixon a pretty tough ride, he’s been first to a few bits on us over the years. Rodgers, Maddison, Mahrez to name a few.

Ben Jacobs, bottom of the barrel.

Tanner also gets a lot flack, bit of a rarity but when he actually goes on something he tends to be right. Was comfortably first on Callum Doyle last summer.

For the love of God can we start this revolution by merging the Ayew thread into sh1t twitter rumours or better still deleting it for all time.  I'm getting twitchy every time I log in and it's near the top of the sub-forum.

I think Mark did this about eight times and it kept coming back lol

But yeah when we start tidying up (as I said, we'll give it a couple of days to give people a chance to give any feedback and then start properly) threads like that will be tidied away promptly.

Would the plan to be prefix every title, then just the player name and maybe club? I.e

Tier 4 - In - Lionel Messi - Inter Miami

Tier 1 - In - Matt O’Reilly - Celtic

Tier 3 - Out - Hamza Choudhury - Barcelona

Tier 2 - Out - Luke Thomas - PSG

There's going to be tags (or prefixes if we don't like the look of those) on posts. You'll be able to see before even clicking on a thread.

Mods will update those tags based on the most recent rumour.

In long, busy threads we'll pin a recommended post that'll show at the top of the topic with the latest update from a credible source to make threads like the Soulé one easier to follow.

If we get a lot of long threads at once (which I doubt) I might try using thread titles to put a status/progress note but we'd have to see what that looked like. Don't want the page to look cluttered and messy and neither does Mark.

This is starting to take shape.

Can I get a bit of info on Mike McGrath, Matt Law, Simon Peach and James Sharpe from the people that suggested them please?

McGrath and Law work with Percy yeah?

Isn't Sharpe with the Mercury? Going to need some convincing on that front.
