is t his really a problem? People sit on the seats - or atleast we should be selling tickets if they were priced reasonably enough! so that any faded blue wont be seen.

against Chelsea for the first time in my 20 years visiting the KP i sat on a white seat (in p2)! it felt oddly special. shame about the footy on offer

Yeah it looks shite lol

Image should be a big deal and it's not hard to rectify.

I wonder if they will replace them all to match the new ones when the expansion is complete.

I'd have thought so, but they could do with it now seeing as the extension (if it happens) won't be for years.

Ideal situation would be have these across the whole kop then the cheaper ‘rail seating’ in the away end, P1 and L1, which covers the club  for all possible areas where people stand with P1/L1 being away blocks in the fa cup.

That is a good call out actually, the club can do the good stuff in the home end and then the cheap shit in the away end if cash is really as tight as they say it is.

I've just had a survey from the club on safe standing.

Safe Standing

We are currently consulting with supporters on the introduction of safe standing at King Power Stadium, building an understanding for what solutions might be right for our fans and how you might like to see it implemented. By answering the following questions, your input will help to guide deeper discussions taking place on the subject across our Fan Engagement Framework, including Your 90 Minute sessions, Fans Consultative Committee Working Groups and Fan Advisory Board discussions.

This survey is for completion by current LCFC Men's Season Ticket Holders and Members aged 16 and over during the 2024/25 season only and survey responses will be used solely for the purposes of this consultation.

If you’re interested in contributing further to our safe standing consultation, you can find details of how to access our Your 90 Minute sessions on the subject HERE. You can also provide feedback to our Fan Advisory Board by emailing [email protected].

The more I think of it, the more I think it might be better to have it like the away end. My concern with having it across the Kop (especially top half) is chants will just die out and the noise won’t spread. If you have everyone close together, I think it will create a better atmosphere. Unless the singing section moved to the middle of the Kop but this something the club seem reluctant to do.

Just received the email, too.

I'm mixed on this as, I support us having it. But, having just moved to much better seats in SK3, which would be included under option 1, we'd need to move to seats we'd be less happy with and in the East or West stand so more expensive.

Worth saying that option 1 etc were ideas given by ufs. These we have no idea on if they are being considered by the club.

If I hadn't moved, your chances of option 1 were zero. I have so, the chances are very good lol

You know a whole south stand with safe standing, and ufs ideally located, I do think the sound would travel in the stadium. I think the singing groups at the moment are just too small.

It's annoying you can't answer unless you're a member.

I don't go very often these days and usually get tickets via my old man or mates who are ST holders.

I know my stake is far smaller than others but it's still my club, bit of a shame those who don't want to pay for the membership for the sake of a few games a year can't vote. I'm sure there are plenty others like me.

I understand why, they're trying to limit interference from non-match going fans or other club supporters.

Sadly can see the club being super conservative with this even if we do implement it, with the likelihood that they will just use that corner in SK1 where UFS are based and no more.

Already seen plenty of Karen's in response to the survey on social media saying they have sat in the Kop for x amount of years and shouldn't be forced to move to accommodate Safe Standing, as if they own the seat.

The dream would be the entire Kop be Safe Standing, with season ticket holders having the option to relocate into there should they want to or move out if they don't wish to stand (at the same price as their current seat.) As Southampton have shown, a radical change can make a massive difference to the noise of the home support, even Preston away we had an entire stand, everyone stood and was the best atmosphere I've experienced since some of the European days.

I think unfortunately it's going to be all down to cost.

I imagine that'll be the case. I hope we go for entire of SK1 then half or so of the rows of the Kop if not the entire thing.

I referenced this in the end comment box of the survey that we will get push back, but if the club actually wants to create the atmosphere managers, players, even the owner has called for, then there'll have to be some people who are moved or offered alternative space who ultimately don't agree with the idea. It is important that we do have space, at good pricing and viewing angles for those who don't wish to or aren't able to stand. But the whole "own my seat" is not one to stick at.

It’s whether they are open minded enough to realise the bigger picture of how an atmosphere can help the team longer term.

If they do just do sk1 then it's literally pointless. You could quite easily do the upper half of the kop and improve things massively.

I don't get how we have fans in the kop who want to sit down and be that kind of fan that aren't happy to just move? It's hardly like it's going to completely change your matchday experience if you sit somewhere else.
